I think he didn't expect to cater for morons like yourself Anyone with a brain cell (have you given it to Charlie? Explains where he's gone) could understand that he meant the Championship, the whole discussion is about the Championship for Christ's sake. Anyone seen Charlie and Ben in the same place?
Not really. The home side are usually favourites in this league. Your target at our place would have been to avoid defeat, which you failed to do, and at home your target would have been to win. Again failure. I'd say that's pretty consistent.
That's just a prediction, which I'm entitled to make. I'm sure you'll disagree, but obviously we both have opposing agendas. We know scoring is a problem at the moment, hence Pearson has already secured a striker before the transfer window has even opened! Our strength is at the back. We've got one of the best defences in the league and just keep two away clean sheets against Hull (who are second) and Burnley (who have score in nearly every game this season). If (or should I say when) we start banging the goals in, I see no team in this league that will live with us.
Yup I said before season started NP would take LcFc up ... Another striker and he would have took us up IF he had stayed ... Steve Bruce took Birmingham City up twice so he must be a decent manager Both our teams are still building , both our managers will Add players when the chance comes along .. Even IF we fail then there's next season we need to get behind our managers even IF we get beat . I see good times for both sets of fans and I think we BOTH deserve some success . We are doing a bit better so far the table shows that ... BUT it could be LcFc as champions and us as runners up ... Or one automatic and one win the play offs .. Let's hope we can both beat the teams in the top 8 when we play them ..grab the top 2 places and open a gap Why not ? Our managers crave success as do our owners ... Hopefully our players do as well... I'm sure they do.. Have a great new year ALL Leicester City and Hull City fans and dare to dream ! Going for a coffee with Filey Fox when I next see him on here and we arrange it . -------
It's not through a lack of exciting football or creating chances though, as you lot claim about Pearson art Hull. This is simply due to finishing, something Pearson has acted quickly on to resolve with what looks to be a tremendous signing.
Same thing with McLean though. Scores bags of goals for a worser side, can't meet the intended mark at the new Club. Judging by things, Wood should be a cracking signing, but if he turns out to just be in a purple patch, then things are going to go a bit peep tong at Leicester.
Not really. We're fifth without him. We'll only be better with him. He'll get more chances with us than he did at Millwall. He won't be the last signing either, so it's not exactly **** or bust on Woods. Just like it hasn't held you back when you're start signing was a massive flop.
I think Wood will be a good signing .. but one of the best individual performances I've seen at The Walkers this season was Baptiste for Blackpool and the thought of him paired with Wes is mouth watering .... just need a really good left-back ... and perhaps a Neil Lennon type holding midfielder ... exciting times ..
Drinkwater plays very deep these days though, i dont think we can accomodate for a holding midfielder and play him. Maybe we could though, but play would be spread from deeper.
In theory it sounds good, but we would then obviously lose attacking threat and then people would be saying we need someone creative... As it stands i think we are well balanced. Shame Danns cant come back into the fold by the looks of it - him and DD would have bags of energy
Oh, I agree, although I'm pretty confident that it won't be as champions. Any of the top six are within striking range. Hull and Boro have pretty settled squads, Leicester have already made the signing of the window,* Palace can achieve anything if they don't sell anyone, and Watford are going from strength to strength. If Cardiff dip even slightly, one of those teams will beat them to top spot. Apart from Matej Vydra. And Almen Abdi. And Fernando Forestieri. And Daniel Pudil...
I agree. I think they're favourites to drop out of the top six. Well, seconf favourites after Hull. I take no pleasure from this, would rather see Watford in there than Leeds, Forest or Millwall.
If you look at most teams promoted to the Premier over the last few years some have come straight back down and I fear this should City get promotion. NP dont make big buys, and City would have to in the premier. Also could he handle this type of player. Is there money to buy CLASS players? Maybe we are at our true level now.....Thoughts...
