After seeing England’s under 21’s crash out of the European Championships at the weekend, I was waiting for an article such as this.

Content is pretty accurate I’d say in relation to the heart of English players these days and can’t really argue with the fact that the money involved in England now is making club football preference.

A point that will continue to rumble on until our national team finds success……….so this point will rumble on for an awfully long time!

La Liga is dominated by just two teams Barcelona and R Madrid, but the English Premier League (Needs a name Change Quick) is a little bit more competitive. The Spanish league has it's great games like when Barcelona thrashed Madrid 5-0 and its poor games when a game ends 0-0, but then the premeir league has great football sides like Arsenal who can go 4-0 up only to end up drawing 4-4 or a game spoilt for incompetant officals such as Blackpools home game against Manchester united. Hopefully the coming season will see a shift in the balance of ower in the English Legue when a new team wins the premier league not the usual Chelski, Man Utd or Arsenal. My hunch is that King Kenny as the Anfield faithfully call Kenny Dalglish will lead Liverpool back to the Title. Wenger will lead Arsenal to a major trophy and runners up spot Manchester City will fail to qualify for Europe after selling Tevez before the start of the new season, Chelski will grab third place on goal difference and manchester united's new spanish keeper will become another Massimo Taibi

The difficulty seems to be there is no bring through young players. There are too many foreigners if you want to have a national squad.
There was a point this season when Barcelona had 11 men on the field in a league game who had come through their youth squad. This is how you get a good national team. Even Madrid has a good number of Spanish players

Ignorance is ruining national football. But then again is national football dieing anyway?! I certainly think, oh god why is it an international break - when there could be league games on. It's just easier to spend money and buy a product - much like it is easier to buy a ready meal from a supermarket then make your own.
