I understand your concerns about him but he could hit the ground running and fit our style as a class player but i agree his wages could be to big a problem for us. If there are a couple of bargain Michu quality players left out there then i hope ML has thier numbers but you usually get what you pay for !

We need a quality striker(s) and a combative midfield player who can drive our game from there. A Scott Parker, high energy type, would be ideal. We seem to lack leadership in midfield, a big character who can motivate those around him and get them buzzing. A couple of months ago I would also have liked a centre back but Ash and Chico have started to gel and we do have Bartley as cover. Whoever we sign for whatever position, I really hope they have a physical edge because, as Laudrup admits, we are a lightweight team and we are capable of being bullied out of games.

I think Leighton James mentioned the idea in the EP. Would be a good catch for sure and he's a goal scoring midfielder.
Dai the sun (I know) are saying that Lamps will be offered £4m a year by LA Galaxy so that's us out of the running then! That's about £77,000 a week! Plus the US have lower taxes than the UK. Would have been nice but I think Chelsea will use him for the rest of the season before he goes off for one more big paycheck.

yea he will go for the big pay check i suppose but i would not say no if he don't care about the money being a multi millionaire himself and his wife working on TV in this country could be a factor, We know he has an affinity with us having giving him a good start of regular football with us so i don't think i will write him off just yet.
