regardless of how sarcastic or jokey people want to be, It is the points we have given away from leading positions that will probably relegate us. It doesn't matter who ou are playing or what score you would have taken before the game. Being 1-3 up away from home in the Premier league and not coming away with 3 points after 90 minutes is poor.

I'm sorry, but we don't have enough easy games coming up to be able to be happy with throwing away two points in a game that would perhaps have been counted a bonus. Bonuses are exactly what we need to stave off relegation. I fear for us if we adopt this mentality some of you have.

What - against a Stoke side who just lump ball after ball in the box, who only conceded something like 8 at home all season and havent lost in something like 17 games now...

Get a grip for Christ's sake - get behind the team as they deserve support...

Yeah maybe, though most relegated teams don't get into that many leading positions to start with.

But being 3-1 up in the first place is very good, so shut up.

It's a royal pain in the arse, sure, but let's not pretend that you'd have turned down a point from the Brittania. Objectively, it's a good point.

Sure, losing a 2 goal lead is depressing, but to be 3-1 up away to Stoke who have one of the best defensive records in Europe, never mind just England, is excellent showing. They were always going to come out hard at us in the 2nd half and, I agree, when they were down to 10 men, we should have been able to hold on by pushing the ball around. However, we had great chances to get a 4th (at least 4 I think) and held out well until a thunderbolt strike. I'd have taken 1 point before we went and I'm happy to have got it, but we now need at least 1 against Arsenal. I'll still be behind Saints, whatever happens. It's called being a fan ;-)

Honestly you need to get a clue. At 3-1 we should have been playing keep ball and killing the game. This is very basic. We kept giving them the ball back for free. They didn't even have to win the ball back. They had a red and we were still just booting the ball back to them.

It's ok...QPR, Reading, West Ham, Wigan and Villa are all worse than us..it's 3 from them 5 to get relegated..on reflection a point at Stoke can only be regarded as a good result.

Some people need to remember how far we've come. I suppose the moaners are the ones who returned after our promotion to the PL.

I've been behind this team all season, and I still am. But there is no way to put a positive spin on this result. If you are 3-1 up, you need to be winning from that position.

This morning it would have been a great point, yes. But at the end of the game it was 2 points thrown away.

A point I wasn't expecting but a poor second half.

Thought Davis was awful, lost count of the number of times he came for cross and got no where near the ball.

The tactics seemed to be working, Guly was very good although he should have scored.

Thought Mayukas pace could have been a good option second half as the out ball. Rodriguez had run himself into the ground.

I should've added Fulham to that list.

I'm off to a Villa forum to cheer myself up! 15 in 3 games without returning fire is an incredible achievement!

Lets give the players a sticker for getting in a winning position.

Yay we went 2-1 up against Man Utd and City, and yay we went 1-0 up against Fulham, and yay we went 1-0 up against Everton - means nothing.
