Andy Gray exclusive: Back QPR to beat Liverpool and Chelsea to draw with Everton Expert football pundit and analyst Andy Gray has joined Paddy Power to give his insight on the best of the last weekend of 2012 Premier League action. Andy Gray’s Sunday double QPR to win and Chelsea and Everton to draw – 12/1 Share this tip! Everton v Chelsea, Sky Sports 1, 1.30pm These are two of just four teams who have 100 per cent records over the festive games. Everton have two 2-1 victories and Chelsea won 8-0 and 1-0. This is a tough one and punters will be tempted to bang their money on the draw. It’s never a popular result in football and tends to be the biggest odds but the evidence is there. Everton have been getting results but they haven’t been great and this will be a tough game. It would be no surprise if they shared the points at 9/4. •Betting: Everton v Chelsea QPR v Liverpool, Harry Redknapp and QPR have nothing to lose in this game and they have to put everything into winning this. They go away to Chelsea on New Year’s Day and they won’t win that so if they are going to make a move and get in touch with the teams they are chasing they have to beat Liverpool at Loftus Road. The Premier League has been so tough to call this year because teams at the bottom have beaten teams at the top, we’ve had surprise results and teams are scoring goals everywhere so this is a tough one. Liverpool are coming off the back of a 3-1 defeat at Stoke where they got beaten up really in many ways and Brendan Rodgers has to pick his players up. It wouldn’t be a surprise if QPR won this at 11/4. Harry needs a result because they won’t get one on New Year’s Day. They lost two games over Christmas and won’t want to lose all four because that will be them down, dusted and gone so it is imperative that they beat Liverpool and Harry will tell his players that. They were unlucky against the Baggies and a couple of bad decisions went against them so they need something to go for them. Whatever anyone tells you this is not a great Liverpool side. It is an ordinary Liverpool side with a couple of great Liverpool players in it.
bloke living across the road is a stoke supporter so as we were both playing liverpool over xmas we stuck 10 each on stoke to win with any winnings going onto QPR to win $60 on this game so i hope andy is right
Erm... We're not playing on New Year's Day. 2nd Jan @ 19:45. More ****e 'journalism' rehashed as Andy Gray's gospel. Can we Rangers fans stop this cut'n'paste sh*te and have proper opinion & debate?
maybe if we had someone that could score goals, had a leader in the middle,a team that played as a team, more skill set, more energy, had 2 strikers up front(2 chances to score!),had some pace, some desire and a defence that doesnt look like conceding everytime and could actually bring the ball out of defence, without giving it straight back......then we might have a shout. Oh and if we didnt spent the last 2 seasons in the relegation zones and one more than once in half a season, again,we might have a shout.
