If they play through iTunes they will play on the phone, it's that simple.

All you should have to do is drag and drop to the iPhone through iTunes and they will copy to handset.

There's nowt complicated in it, iTunes supports the same formats as the iPhone.

I think then u have to create a playlist down the left hand side and chuck them all in there, then sync, if that doesnt work i'm out and would be reading the forums suggested above

It will not automatically copy tracks to your handset, you have to physically tell it which ones you want.

You can select multiple files by holding ctrl, then drag them all at once to the iPhone on the left of iTunes, it will take a couple seconds per track to copy them.

If you have the phone plugged in, it will be able to read the ID3 tags of the tracks, but not actually play them, hence the greyed out track names <ok>

    That's unusual.

When plugged in you can see 'iPhone' in the left hand side of iTunes yeah?

    Success!!!

    Kind off anyway.

I've got the songs playing. But for some reason there is two copies of each song. One in black and able to play, and then the grey ones still.

All I did was turn it off and on.

I had a similar problem the first time i got an IPod and it's the same with the iPhone as well.

I had all my music stored on a portable hard drive, loaded it into itunes and synched, unplugged the iPod and all the titles, artists names and everything was there but no music. To get round this i had to load my music onto the laptop with itunes installed and then synch it, hey presto, it worked. I'm pretty sure this is the same with CD'sa swell, you have to load it onto your computers hard drive, then import it into itunes and then synch your device, Guarantee it will work, if it doesn't it's probably cos you are trying to load Jason & Kylie and computer say's NO.
