Not sure if its significant but DM on his twitter profile had until maybe yesterday a profile pic of him in his tigers kit celebrating a goal .... Now he hasn't .... Can't think of many reasons why he would remove it.
Meyler Stays!!! There's a 24 hour recall time limit on players on emergency loans. As it's a 12:30 kick-off that watershed has now passed. Wonder if that is deliberate or a cock-up by Slumberland?
James Hunter ‏@JHunterChron OK, here's the official answer. Despite suggesting this morning that he would recall Meyler, MoN has since decided not to. #safc ^^^Sunderland's writer for their local
Possibly because Meyler's loan ends in a few days they decided against it seeing as they won three out of the last four games
This is great news! I don't think it's a coincidence that we won four games in a row when Meyler was in the team and was getting match fit. I know he's only one cog in the machine, but a very important one and is the type of midfielder we've needed for a long time.
Wrong. MON does not need Meyler as the injuries are clearing up. Team news for the Sunderland v. Spurs game 2moz has no mention of David Meyler being involved. Great news for the worry warts on here. Mike White needs to get new sources in the North East. IMO,, In place of Cory Evans who is one booking short of a suspension. The minimum required goes up from 5 to 10 bookings from Jan 1st. No other City player is on more than 3 at the moment. That would surprise me if he did. I expect Meyler for Evans to start TWS game. But 3 or 4 changes for Blackpool. imo

For the Blackpool match though I would expect McShane or Bruce to come in for Faye, Evans to be recalled and Proschwitz in for Simpson. Freshen it up. Then almost all change for the Orient game.
I don't think so, nobody at Sunderland ever told him he was being recalled and as far as he was concerned, he as always going to see out his loan.
Never mind the loan, I reckon he'll be signing number 1 come January now, whether it's until the end of the season or long-term.
Sounds like he's still with us: http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/story-17701048-detail/story.html?
There's a possibility that MON might recall Meyler 24 hours early. Result - he'd miss our Blackpool game, but then he'd be rested for the Black Cats' Liverpool game on Wednesday 2nd. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spor...on-loan-at-hull-city-for-now-72703-32510228/?
