Here are my in's and out's..... What's yours?

    GK:
    Walker (loan). OUT
    Bevan........... OUT
Gough........... IN - only until end of season and be back up to a new GK.

    RB:
    Woodards...... IN
    Smith........... IN

    LB:
    Paterson....... OUT
Brown........... IN - providing he can prove he wants to be here.

    CB:
    Virgo............ OUT
    Bolger (loan).. IN
    Parkes.......... IN
Kenneth........ IN - providing he can prove he wants to be here.

    RW:
    Anyinsah....... OUT
    Richards........ IN

    LW:
    Broghammer... IN

    CM:
    Lund (loan)... OUT
    Norburn........ IN
    Clucas.......... IN
    Gill............... OUT

    CF:
    Harrold.......... IN
    Clarkson........ IN

Youngster: send out on loan to get experience or give them minutes on the pitch. May show more passion than some 1st teamers.
    CD Lockyer
    CM Clarke
    CM Goddard
    LW Santos
    RW Hunter
    CF Harrison
    CF Harding
    CF Staley

So thats 7 OUT: Walker, Bevan, Paterson, Virgo, Anyinsah, Lund, Gill.

    Needed:
1 Keeper (to replace Walker and Bevan) - not a loan
1 Left back (to replace Paterson) - someone who can push brown
1 Winger - who can play both sides
2 Centre Mid (to replace Lund and Gill) - fighters who can attack and defend
2 Forward (to replace Eaves and Riordan) - experience and pacy needed.

And 7 IN. Thats major changes needed. Beginning to look like mission impossible. So glad Ward is the one to try the impossible and not MM.

    What's your In's and Out's?

As I said elsewhere I think its foolhardy to blow big bucks in January so with that in mind we have to do just enough to gain survival nothing more nothing less then do the proper rebuild in the summer, so with that in mind id keep the following.

    Beven/Walker

Smith, Bolger, Parkes, L Brown, Woodards

    Clarkson, Norburn, Claucus, Broghammer

    Harrold, Richards

    In reserve

    Anyinsah, Kenneth, Gill, Pattison

In January we should focus on getting a box to box ball winning midfielder, do our very best to get Eaves back on board and maybe look at a better keeper option.

As CJS said would be good to get the younger lads out on loan for experiance, unless we can help it I would keep them well away from the dog fight were gonna be in for the rest of the season.

At the end of season Walker, Pattison, Gill, Anyinsah, Kenneth is an issue with his contract but I dont rate him and feel he also need to go.

I agree with almost all of what you say cjs, but I don't think we'll be able to
offload that many...there can't be that many suckers out there!
We may have to limp through to the end of the season with some of them.
The only one I'd try to get is Lund. I thought he was a good deputy for Woodards.

was very good deputy at RB but as woodards is back and smith is available, our RB's seem to be ok. lund for me hasnt impressed in his midfield position but then again who has in midfield! i just think his wages may help get in someone else.
i very much doubt we will get rid of 7 and bring in 7. i think this is needed though asap. but i can see 3 leaving and 3 coming in which includes bolger and lund.

It would be another nail in the coffin if we dont manage to keep Bolger at the club, for me its a must, a decent keeper should then see the defence come good.

The trouble you lot have is similar to our predicament, in the position both clubs are in is if the worse case scenario happens will both clubs be left with players signed on the league above's wages?

I'm not saying that both clubs will be relegated but wages are going to be a stumbling block as both clubs can't gurantee the league's that they are in!

I think both clubs will be either looking at lower level players or loans to stagger across the finishing line. Not looking rosy for either club is it :(

I think thats the key, spend as little as possible, all we need to do is finish one place above relagation, that will do nicely until the summer by which time proper consideration can be given to whats required and how best to spend whatever finance is available, for you guys on the Red side I suppose the same applies but not sure its as critical for you.

Breaking the bank must happen for us, relegation could end the clubs all together.

Its **** or bust time for both clubs :emoticon-0101-sadsm

I would settle for one place above the relegation, some of our fans want instant success but we need to get rid of the crap that no one wants that are on stupid money.

Once they have gone I think the rebuilding can begin. Defenders don't seem to want to join us full time, possibly due to us leaking like a sieve that their reputation is on the line. When you think about it we have a tidy keeper but due to the shambles in front of him can't keep a clean sheet <doh>

Whilst I haven't seen enough of the Gas this season to pass comment on your suggestions, I do feel it would be unrealistic to turn round 14 deals in the transfer window. Even if we managed to get through that bulk I think it would take so long to build the chemistry up there would be a struggle to turn things around. I think the focus needs to be on the main weaknesses.

For me (from what I have seen) seems to be the central midfield area. The ball is given away too often, too cheaply and the team are being walked over. This puts a below average defence under considerable pressure. For that reason an experienced midfielder is needed, probably somebody that has played at this level but formerly at a higher level as well.

The next issue is the forwards. There is no way the team can win if they don't have somebody that can bang in the goals. For this I would scour the local leagues and non-leagues, pick up somebody quick who knows where the goal is. There is no way we can afford a top class forward. I remember the Gas signed Mark Johns from Bristol Manor Farm on a short term deal in the 80s or 90s when they ran out of forwards, he banged a few in.

Finally a new keeper is a must. None of the options are up to it. With a good keeper, maybe he can command the defenders and get them playing as a unit.

As I said, I haven't seen enough to genuinely know as much as you lot.

For a bit of Barnet style fantasy, Harry Kewell needs a club, get him in as a player coach
