Hull City AFC is delighted to announce a new club partnership with Burflex Scaffolding for the 2012/13 and 2013/14 seasons. As part of the partnership, Burflex Scaffolding will also become the official back of shorts sponsor for Hull City AFC. Burflex was formed in 2003 by Managing Director Mr Stephen Cox. His hard work, determination and diligence have fostered his green shoot company and it continues its growth and expansion, even through the hard economic climate of recent years. Burflex are now one of the largest scaffolding companies in the area, with a considerable stock of scaffolding, specialised system scaffold and conventional tube and fittings; currently employing over eighty staff. This year has been a milestone for Burflex, after successfully passing a very strenuous audit becoming full members of âThe National Access and Scaffolding Confederation (NASC)â, continuing on from numerous achieved accolades from other stringent industry standards in the past few years, including Linkup and Safe Contractor to name a few. Burflex will continue in its long term determination and goal of delivering excellence for its customers. Hull City Commercial Manager Linton Brown said. âWe are thrilled and delighted Burflex Scaffolding has agreed to join our elite band of Official Club Partners. As part of our ongoing commercial strategy we aim to attract reputable brands like Burflex Scaffolding, who recognise a partnership with Hull City Football Club as a unique opportunity to promote its brand throughout the region and on a national basis. This partnership further demonstrates our progress commercially and we look forward to working closely with Stephen and his team to deliver his companyâs objectives proactively, and in doing so delivering real commercial value.â Stephen Cox, Managing Director of Burflex Scaffolding, said. âIt is with great pride that Burflex (Scaffolding) Ltd enter into a partnership with Hull City AFC. Both I and the whole company are looking forward to supporting the club over the remainder of this season and the 2013-2014 campaign. We feel it is important for successful local businesses to support each other and this fits extremely well with our long term strategy to be a partner with our local football club, that continues to be a success story. I already know this will be of great benefit to both parties, and we look forward to be in a position to continue our support in the long term and hopefully into promotion.â This Official Club Partnership will provide Buflex with significant brand exposure via the Media Backdrop Boards, pitchside advertising within the TV arc and branding on the players shorts, which collectively will deliver fantastic brand exposures values locally, regionally and nationally. http://www.hullcityafc.net/news/article/commercial-burflex-partnership-564431.aspx
It's getting a bit too Rugby League having different sponsors all over the kit. Not that i buy them, but it looks tacky.
Linton Brown commercial manager. Imagine if we do get promoted how that will compare to respective counterparts at other Premier League clubs? People always concentrate on the playing and coaching staff for obvious reasons but the level of investment in non-football staff at City completely corresponds with the level of candidate attracted to the role. For example, other PL clubs pay 6 figure salaries to attract the very best comms people in the market, as you might expect for the most media exposed league in the world. City on the other hand continue to hire internal people with literally ZERO relevant experience who somehow fall into the role. Lets hope the new MD is given some proper clout to address this.
Is this the horrible red square logo I noticed on the back of the shorts on Wednesday? Or another sponsor for the other side?
KILHAM TIGERS, who,s been damaging your arse for you to need scafolding up it? ive heard hull is getting quite "fruity" but hey take it easy mate!!
Agreed. I mean how much will this bring in? Read an article the other day where most Spanish teams dont have a sponsor on their shirt. I think its Real Sociedad who put individual fans names on the shirts, miles better idea. Just found the link http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...s-wear-fans-names-shirts-instead-sponsor.html
Why the need to address this ? Linton Brown maybe good at what he does. Only stupid clubs pay out 6 figure salaries for a commercial manager. Being back in the PL will address this issue of sponsorship. The phone wont stop ringing.
He's not. And a sensible team would get relegated, blowing all PL income, signing a shockingly bad shirt sponsorship deal and nearly entering administration in the process.
