So, who'll be on the front-line against TWS?

Will Aluko be on the bench - he wasn't quite up to speed against Leicester? Or will it be Simmo who gets rested?

Will Proschwitz get another (rare) start?

It will be Aluko and Simpson but it should be Aluko and Proschwitz.

Simpson hasn't scored since November 6th and the time before that was September 23rd. Hell Proshchwitz has more goals after September 23rd than Simpson does and Pro has had 1 freaking start. Proschwitz must be either utter **** or something or other because holding up the ball well can not be the only qualification for being a striker. I would rather have that wondolowski dude than simpson, at least when the ball hits his foot in the box he knows how to put it in the net. I know people like Simpson, but at some point even the simpson fans have to acknowledge that he isnt a championship striker as a striker scores goals.

It's a tricky one. Normally, you'd have expected Simmo and Aluko to work the magic against Leicester - but Aluko was not up to full match fitness; and Simmo was in his recent 'off-target mode'.

I think Prozzie will get his start. Steve Bruce has said time and time again that he has to get up to speed. Too many chances going to waste.
I also think that Steve Bruce has played a master stroke with him. He knows getting a striker in will be hard in January. Having a player who needed time to adapt to the game could be a gamble that he wins with.

Aluko looked by far our most dangerous player against Leicester, there's no way he won't start.

So you think Koren in behind Aluko, with Meyler back in CM then?

Aluko wasn't up to speed because he was regaining match fitness IMO, I'd start him alongside Prossie.

Proschwitz needs a run in the side alongside Sone and Simpson is too wasteful.

So the only change to the side that I'd make is Proschwitz in for Simpson <ok>

Aluko and Simpson again for me.

Meyler in for Evans(due to his 4 bookings).

Prossy to start the Blackpool and Orient games regardless of what happen tomorrow. imo.

I'd keep Prozzie on the bench. Go with:

    --------------Jakupovic---------------
    --------Chester--Faye--Hobbs--------
    --Elmo------------------------Brady--
    --------Koren---Meyler--Quinn--------
    -----------Simpson---Aluko-----------

Evans was cack against Leicester and I rate him usually. Simpson probably isn't good enough but he helps our quick passing game. With that team I can see us passing it around a weak Leeds side for fun. We really could hammer them. Just if it's not working, Brucie needs to bring Prozzie on at 65/70 minutes rather than 80/85 minutes when it's nigh on impossible for him to make an impact.

Lee Peltier OUT of TWS team. Wow as if that makes any difference.

Normally ex players come back to haunt us so that's one positive.
As for Aluko against Leicester, I thought he was dropping too deep on a regular basis to get the ball & that's why Simpson seemed to get the space up front but could never take it on.
If Simpson & Aluko both play up front together & stay up front then we have a good chance, if Meyler doesn't play then I don't know who would be a likely replacement for Evans as he had a poor game against Leicester. Maybe he would be given a chance again.

I don't remember him doing anything of note after the shot he had that forced a quality save from Schmeichel in the bottom corner.

Or before it for that matter.

Personally I'd like to see Meyler in for Koren and Aluko up front with either Simpson or Proschwitz, I can see the benefit in both choices. I reckon one day Aluko is going to have a game where all his little turns and tricks actually come off and he gets a hat-trick or something. I think getting the best out of him will be key to our promotion push. I know a lot of people are happy with him already but I think he's got a lot more to offer than he's shown so far.

In midfield, I don't think Meyler will replace Evans. Contrary to what the Sunderland fans told us about him, Meyler hasn't really been used as a holding midfielder, he's actually been the one getting forward most so I reckon he'll play on the right of the central 3 as usual with Evans in the centre as the 'holding' one.

Thinking about it we'll need an Evans type to stop Leeds, we know Leeds are going to be aggressive tomorrow.
