Looks like a 4-4-2 deal for the Arsenal game
    ------------Krul
    Simpson-Perch-Coloccini-Santon
    Obertan-Tiote-Bigirimana-Marveaux
    -----------Ba-Cisse

I think Pards will play Jonas and Shola this game.

That seems about right. Or, it can be switched to 4-3-3, with Marveaux playing in the advanced role in the midfield three and Obertan playing on the left of Ba

    Krul

    Simpson - Perch - Coloccini - Santon

    Bigi - Tiote - Marveaux

    Cisse - Ba - Obertan

Either way, we're gonna have our work cut out, considering the energy sapped at Old Trafford. Let's just hope that the frustration of losing a game we should have got something from, is enough to keep the motivation and energy levels high.

Good news its not serious but i don't think Pardew will rush him back for the Everton game with our current injury crisis, no good rusjing him back for one game and him getting injured for 3/4/5 games like with HBA.

I'm happy it's not worse than that, maybe it's a good thing he gets a bit of rest for a week.

The amount of rest the arsenal team have had will be a massive advantage for the game, and I expect them to win comfortably, but if we defend better who knows?

I wonder if Marv will stay now he's probably going to get a few games? He played quite well vs Man Utd, is almost an absolute must for his set-piece ability, and he's working hard defensively. It'd certainly be hard to convert WP to the church of Marveaux if he pisses back off to France <wah>

Not sure about that. We have won our last three league games for a start. Also we are at home and have had a weeks rest, while you guys have played a tough game in midweek and seem to have all sorts of injury issues, while we only have Diaby out injured.

As you say, no point bringing him back a game earlier to then have him out for a few games.

It will be hard anyway if he gets pushed round like a feather by the likes of Evra like the Man U game <whistle><laugh>

To be fair the lad can't defend and he's one of those players you have to find a way of giving very little defensive responsibility to. I'd like to see him in the home games especially with Tiote and Anita behind him. He just needs a bit of freedom and needs to play centrally off one striker.

Are you going to be ok to get to the game mate? What happens if mummy can't drive you and your mates to the ground... You might have to walk<wah>

Best call off the game and let us have some rest too :bandit:

Just joking, but seriously, I'm pissed off you can't travel to the game unless you're feeling some fella's arse with your nostril on the tube <ok><laugh>

I don't know, I think he'd be fine with two strikers in the right circumstances pouchy. The old 4-4-2 diamond with Marv in the attacking mid role would work quite well I think. He's not a great tackler at all, but he did track back a lot and while I haven't seen the stats as yet, I think it'd surprise a few people how much he put into that game.

Supporters coach drops you off at the ground, you don't need to use the tube.

Yet they still can't get the game on versus West Ham because of possible tube strikes, like that's the only form of transport in the city with surely the largest population of illegal mini-cabs in the country... I must be harder than those southern softies because I'd take the risk of sexual assault to watch some football any day, I just chose not to support Milwall <whistle>

If I slashed the tires of all the supporters coaches for Newcastle fans, I bet they wouldn't postpone the game!

I have known the KO to be delayed when supporters coaches were delayed through no fault of their own.

    Really? That's quite good.

West Brom started 15 minutes later because their team didn't arrive on time. QPR should have said feck it and kicked the ball in the net til they showed up, and been all "alright lads glad you've finally made it, your turn to kick-off, we're 10 up now". But I suppose that says something for my own morality

You off down for the Arsenal match AB? The family won't have seen much of you this christmas if so!

Just got back today from visiting family, didn't get a ticket for the Arsenal game because of having to visit other family members. Next away game is Brighton.
