Don't agree with this at all.

I've lost count of the number of chances Hulse has been handed on a plate and not taken. Wolves away he hit the post from less than a metre out, then put a five-yard unmarked header wide, next home game he had an identical header and did the same. Did the same again twice yesterday. He's had about 5 one-on-ones that I've counted where his lack of pace and hesitancy has led to him falling over his own feet/defenders catching up with him. Yesterday he could have scored a tap in and put it straight at the keeper.

Fuller doesn't move for crosses or passes, nor does he ever try to find space, and thus will only create chances for himself, which he never takes.

Kermorgant's game revolves around being the one to create chances, yet he's not being given games.

"Young Karl" called the display against Walsall 'shambolic and kamikaze' and also lost a striker long term - unfortunately, you're right AHLL, this looks like the recipe for a swift loan.

So do we still want to ditch BWP .we have kermogant Hulse on loan and fuller and Haynes both never manage 2 or 3 games without picking up an injury.
Can't see the logic in getting rid plus no one can say he wasn't excellent yesterday.

When BWP plays like he did yesterday then I don't mind if he only scores 1 goal a season.

He was brilliant as an outlet and for relieving us when we were under pressure; everytime the ball came out to him from a defensive corner he got there first, held it up and either disposed safely or passed it on.

    Very impressed by his attitude.

But just as he was taking his tracksuit off Hamer made that save (they should have scored) - if they had scored I think Powell would have gone for Fuller instead.

It must be a case of who partners him against Watford.

Reckon it must be kermogant and BWP against Watford. There were signs of the interplay that bought us a few goals last season yesterday. Both a bit rusty but the option of Hulse and Fuller doesn't give me any confidence. Hulse doesn't offer anything that a fit Kermorgant is better at and Fuller isn't a team player. That said if you played Hulse and BWP or Kermorgant and Fuller you have a good back up. Yesterday shpowed that BWP and Fuller don't work that well and I doubt that anyone would pay to see Kermorgant and Hulse in an "after you claude" performance.

Agree, I thought Bradders was awesome yesterday. He created the chances, and worked his socks off. Prichard too was amazing, pity he missed that goal, and that was from Bradders setting up. Far better than Hulse, and will remain match fit, unlike Haynes or Fuller.

Kermogant and Wright-Phillips should be out given starting Strikers. Fuller and Haynes as impact players as they struggle to play 90 minutes injury free.

He only signed for us because he'd failed a medical at Reading, and was supposed to be very injury prone (I think knee). I wonder what's happened to him at Charlton that's kept him pretty much injury free for the past two seasons.

Hope he gets his chance at Watford, and takes it.

You win some, you lose some. If BWP, Jackson, Haynes and Fuller stayed generally fit they wouldn't be playing for us. We can only afford them because no richer club would take a chance on them. That is why it is silly to post that Haynes (or Fuller) are "unlucky" with injuries. We knew the risk when we signed them. We have got full value out of BWP, and satisfactory value out of Jackson. A bit too soon to write the other two off, but it doesn't look promising for Haynes.

In the year he has been with us Haynes has made 25 appearances and scored 7 goals. It gives me no pleasure to say that we would have been better off spending what he has cost us on someone who is available more often, even if he didn't score the occasional wonder goal.

A pleasant surprise to see BWP get a run yesterday. When he wasn't even named on the bench I assumed that the deal had already been agreed for him to move on in January, whether on loan or permanently. Not so sure now.

Let's be honest, BWP deserved to get dropped because he was looking disinterested, but starting with his appearance in the Millwall game, he has got a new lease of life from somewhere.Let's hope this is because he wants to play for Charlton and not another club, we should find out pretty soon. If he plays as he did on Saturday we can ill afford to lose him.

But of those 25 how many did he start upfront? He was a winger when we first introduced him. I may be wrong but his chance upfront came against Preston away and pool at home when he scored in both?

How many of them were sub appearances?

And how many matches did he spend on the bench because BWP was starting? ie matches in which he was fit to play but was not picked and so did not appear. Eddie's statistics imply that out of the 70 or so matches since he was signed, he's only been fit for 25.

BWP justifiably kept him out of the team last season. Haynes seems to be making a stamp on the team this season, hope he's able to get back into the frame.

No offence to Danny, but I hope Bradley scores so many goals that he finds it hard to get back in the team

    Tactical as much as anything.

Verdict from the Watford forum is that our midfield gave them no time or space and then Fuller and Kermorgant bullied their defence. Fuller especially. BWP is not able to bully opposition, which is not a criticism of him. I was surprised about the selection, but that's why Chris Powell is the manager <ok>

If BWP starts against Huddersfield, it would show that Powell sees him as part of his plans for this season. If not, well, it would seem you are right.

Could be a way for CP to (sadly) put him in the shop window. Or he won't play any part so he isn't cup tied (though that's a long shot seeming any interested parties won't be thinking of the final). I think it's safe to say fuller will be rested, so I'm hoping BWP gets his chance.

I was hoping Azeez would get a chance but he's gone back to Wycombe, Haynes is injured, Hulse is gone and I can't see Fuller being risked in a cup game which leaves BWP and Kermit. OK by me.
