Real Madrid contact Tottenham about Bale - Sky Sports

Sky Sports News yellow band is saying Madrid have contacted Tottenham about a possible move in January.

Thoughts?

Bearing in mind that I am a complete plonker.

 

AVB has stated on the bbc sports site ,Bale is not for Sale And will not be sold in January.Not suprised Sky has made this up,they haven't had anything to unsettle the side since Modric left

 

First thoughts are, AVB has already said that he's going nowhere, in Jan at least. Secondly, they had better start thinking about some very, very large numbers.

 

Tash doesn't really have a say in the decision though....or anything at all really.

Bale will probably go in the summer but can't see it happening in January unless Madrid often something silly.

There are a couple of points that I would like to make about this.

(1) Levy is extremely unlikely to let Bale leave at any price, as he is far too important to us, and we are unlikely to be able to replace him

(2) Bale recently signed a four year extension to his contract, in spite of the fact that there was huge interest in him from a number of clubs, including Real, so the player has already made his intentions known, namely that he is staying put with Spurs

(3) In today's market, and bearing in mind that Bale has about 6 years left to run on his contract, any buyer would have to be prepared to spend £60 million plus, and I cannot see Real putting up that kind of money; and few other clubs would be able to afford that kind of cash

(4) Speculation will always surround world class players such as Bale, and we can expect approaches to be made to the club regarding him in every transfer window, but that does not mean that any such approach will be accepted by Levy

(5) Rat Boy has been trying to justify his place in the Real squad with foolish talk of "bringing" Bale to Real. Impartial and educated observers may consider that Rat Boy would be better served in concentrating on capturing for Real the kind of form that he showed for us, rather than meddling in affairs that do not concern him

(6) Finally, and most importantly, Bale has consistently told the media (when ever they've had the actual decency to ask him) that he has no intentions of leaving Spurs any time soon

 

If Ronaldo is £122 million i think Bale is worth more than £60 million,probably about £80 million

 

I would have thought so, too, Tots. I was keeping the figure down so as not to be accused of being delusional by our rival fans.

 

You must admit that there have been some worrying signs for Spurs fans.

He's preening himself a lot more- spiking his hair with copious amounts of gel etc.

He's got a cocky goal celebration.

He goes to ground like a film extra in a western who's been shot.

He's started posing with the match ball.

If he announces he's got a Spanish girlfriend and always wanted to live in Spain, I'll be putting money on it.
