Honestly we need a striker, and I dont care who it is at this point. I cant see Woods, Nugent or Becchio coming here. Since FC keeps coming off the bench I dont see him coming here either. Unless there is someone out there that we dont know about I would not be surprised if we didnt get anyone.

Of all the names I've seen - however tenuous the link may be - my choice would be Danny graham. Clearly out of favour at Swansea so the question becomes whether he'd come down to the championship. Unlikely I suppose but for what it's worth he'd be my choice.
I would suspect Billy Sharp could be a main target. After whats happened in the last 24 hrs at Forest I think he will go back to Saints in Jan and then there will be a bidding war.

"Plausible Deniability": If we find Fraizer Campbell is rolled out on a Jan 1st prezzer and some hack says "Steve, I thought you said no deals were in place before Jan 1st?" , he can turn round and say "That's right no "Deals" were signed, we signed it this morning!" The way Steve Bruce phrased that, it was obvious he has definite targets and there has been contact with them, their agents and their owning clubs. All that will be without any "Deals in place" for January because no deals can be signed before Jan 1st in any case.

The Morison From Norwich is an interesting one, Still think FC will sign been no negative articles yet from the player about signing for us unless ive missed them. Billy Sharp for me - was pissed off we never got him before, he's match fit, scoring goals and his mate has been shown the door at the Florists.....bidding wars aside with Soton there's no way he'll cost anywhere near the numbers being banded about for FC and, call me a grumpy old sod but I won't forget the shenanigans we had last time with FC and his old man.....I know, I should get over it, but it was the utter contempt shown to the club that really rattled my cage....
Interesting that the striker I keep banging on about and have done for god knows how long was given a mention in yesterdays interview, Steve Morison ! !!!!!! would eat the majority of chances we are creating with the balls in the box, and would be a perfect foil for Aluko. SB was,always going to answer the question in a negative way as he would have had to answer follow up ones on what position and who, he also may have someone lined up thats not been mentioned and does not want to alert others to his targets, I,m happy that he goes about his business in aquiet and professional manner, he knows where we need strengthening and I have no doubt the right players will arrive in january, its then just a case of how long it takes for new players to settle in and produce the goods.
