Looking increasingly likely that it's true - Allegedly it's to pave the way for a Mark Hughes return. Although it's ludicrous you have to appreciate their point of view - 1 win in 10 from a side with that much individual quality has to be pretty disappointing. I'm not sure there's a quick-fix for them, they need to give someone time - but time isn't something you have when you've got a massive wage bill in this league.
Literally zero sympathy for the club and the fans and they got precisely what they deserved by continuoulsy haranging a guy who guided them to 2nd in the league. They would, without a shadow of a doubt, made the top 6 under Kean so fook em. And surely Shearer would be high on the list?
I dont think anyone with any common sense would want to take that job now with those jokers in charge.
All of this crazy crazy behaviour is brought about by one thing and one thing only..........................MONEY! These so-called "Petro-Owners" wouldn't have even poked their noses out of their tents in the deserts of the middle east (sorry if that's racist) if it wasn't for the money of the Premiership. I hope and pray we remain sensible because Clubs like Lesster, Forest, QPR and now TWS are disasters looking for somewhere to happen! (mind you with the arrogance of that set of fans over their new-found wealth.......bring it on!!)
I wonder how Eric Black feels? Bruce (S) wanted him at the start of the season, but he stayed at Blackburn. Now we're at the sharp end, and he's on the dole. With comments Bruce (S) made during the weekend about his backroom staff creating a positive environment at City, he wouldn't go back for Black would he? Would he?
Serious question, do all these moneyed foreign based owners think that 10 clubs get promoted based purely on resources? Only 3 teams can go up any year and there are at least 8 plus the 3 relegated sides every year who think they are in with a very realistic chance with good backing. It's ****ing preposterous. I would love to think The Allams wouldnt sack Bruce if we finished 7th.
Be careful what you wish for Blackburn fans. After all the **** they gave Kean and the decent start they had under him this season it has all fallen apart. They have a quality side but I think there is too much ground for them to make up now, especially when you consider the strength of ourselves, Cardiff, Leicester, Boro and even the likes of Forest and Leeds. Could be a rare season where none of the relegated sides compete for the top 6.
There's still a long way to go & despite our excellent 1st half to the season I've seen it too many times over the years in this league where teams just fall down & away from the top end. I just hope we remain sensible, don't throw money away on players unnecessarily in January & keep quietly going about our job picking up points. Starting with Leeds on Saturday.
I've been waiting for the opportunity to post this quote: "There's no real managers with any credibility who would take that job." Henning Berg speaking about the Blackburn job on Norwegian TV last summer.
That came back to haunt him! I bet there are a ton of managers or wanabee managers who would take up the offer to manage them, it's not like it's some lowly team in Scandinavia.
At what point, If any do the powers that be need to step in and say 'Hang on A minute' ? Ok Blackburn arent doing well under Berg, But He hasn't had the time, And the O Driscoll sacking is a shambles, It's putting good managers out of work, and Making it almost impossible to manage a club for a decent run of time. The way football is Run nowadays is a joke, as simple as that. That said, I've got no sympathy for Blackburn after the treatment Kean got, He had no chance of keeping them up, and when he did well they still gave him flack. I hope they get someone like Megson, Or Shearer, They deserve each other.
