Well just another day at Ashton Gate and if you look at how our situation has deteriorated without even kicking a ball it makes me wonder if we will ever get anything right. It seems that everyone and everything can beat Bristol City these days and looking at the other results fills me with a total lack of confidence when it comes to wondering if we will ever turn the ship around. Yes I know we have a game in hand but we need way more than 3 points from a postponed fixture to get even close to safety and the clock is ticking faster every day. Just to add insult to injury our next opponents are scoring goals for fun like the 3 against Wolves today so the jury is out on whether we can produce the kind of effort required to win that game. A recent post commented on the fact that our next 3 games after Ipswich were critical to our bid for survival and how true that has now become. Currently dead last in the Championship at Christmas was the last thing on most of our minds going in to the festive season but most times reality bites you in all the wrong places. What will Derek do in the upcoming transfer window and can the team be strengthened? If you considered yourself to be a reasonable player would you honestly take an offer from Bristol City, probably only if no-one else wanted you I suppose. So what does that leave us with in the option department? Quite honestly I have no idea anymore of what happens within the walls of fortress Ashton Gate but I know time is running out very quickly to save our season. Is anybody listening or are they just capable of offering so called words of wisdom that are supposed to placate the supportersÃ
Cant help you with the song im afraid mike. Though I expect google can Anyway back to the thread. I really think next year we will be playing our part in the championship along with Barnsley and peterbrough. Don't think we're good enough to stay up this year as its been left too late. Last season there was 6-7 teams that could of went down, This time it looks like only 4, and being bottom of that pile I don't think were the lucky team to stay up
Over 4 months and exactly half the season to go yet Mike, rumours of our demise are therefore somewhat exaggerated....
Good time to get down the bookies and bet on us staying up. Surely must be some good odds on that now.
