shrews will bitterly regret the points they have thrown away in the last few games, when they entertain county who are unbeaten away. high flying county have had an iffy few games, with their ground either frozen or waterlogged. they have only taken 7 points from a possible 18. they have lost at home to brentford, drawn at yeovil, beat swindon at home, drawn at preston, drawn at scunny and drawn at home to crawley. league p22 w9 d8 L5 f33 a22 gd 11 points 35 8th away form w5 d6 L0 f18 a 8 scorers- arquin f 7, hughes f 5, bishop mf 5 even the most optimistic shrews fan must have grave doubts, given our shaky defence unable to hold out for 94 minutes, of a result for shrews. shrews 1 county 3 att 6009
Shrews 0-2 County Zoko Labadie 5800 Notts on the way down as i predicted a month or two back but still might be to good for us! we need to defend better, and we need a bit of consistency up front!!
we need someone up front capable of assisting and/or scoring. and we need 4 at the back who can sensibly defend for up to 98 minutes. er floreat salopia!
Our next two home games look really tricky and we will probably come to regret that last-minute lapse against Bury. Taylor being out is also a massive blow for us. However, Notts County look more beatable than Brentford who are the form team in the division. I go for a 2-1 win with Morgan and Wright scoring and there should be a big gate of 6500 and a great atmosphere assuming the Town team who played so well against MK Done turn up. By the way, did anyone see the look on the Bury fans' faces as they were filing into the ground with thirty seconds gone and our players were already celebrating Wildig's goal - it was a priceless moment
Shrewsbury 1 v 1 snotts county Richards Att 6300 Come on you blues, my wife is going to the match so I'd like her to see a win
It looks like Taylor is now a possible but Wright is now out - I doubt if Taylor will start as surely two games in three days with a dodgy hamstring is too big a risk to take. Having now got Taylor back in form it looks as if we face a big battle to keep him as I have a friend who is a Bournemouth fan who has heard from a source within that club they will be putting in a bid for him in January.
Sorry, but realistic. Of the away games I have attended this season, Notts have been the best of our opponents.
given the forcast, i think grahams plan b may operate and be succesful against a lightweight county squad. the quadruple mince pie and a carton of clotted cream combined with a turkey each may produce results providing long studs are worn. it is understood the ground will be soft and heavy, although roland and the board have chosen a short stud for the board room. the county board are in for a great pre match lunch- of turkey twizzlers, salad, a slice of ham, followed by a shropshire blue cheese and biscuits. all washed down with a poky ukraine reisling, hand selected by our chairman who also selected the bulgarian sparkling port. a pretty little thing. roland added a case of each to his account and it is understood he had change out of a twenty pounds note for 24 bottles. any residue will be kept for any celebrations for the shrews this season. a canny chap is roland. it is understood the shrews are hoping they have nothing to celebrate this season apart from staying up when they will opt for the non watered down ribena. gt and his coachind staff will stay on the irn bru. floreat salopia! pip pip!
sounds as thogh county were lucky to get a point today. is wildig of any use apart from selling programs. i keep reading he is sh*te or worse. why does gt keep playing him.?
