And it's not the first time this has been the case this season either. Wigan, Sunderland, WBA, the first half vs West Ham, all come to mind. Yes clearly we need to strengthen the back line/goalkeeper next month, but I do think we also need to look hard at the other end of the field too - despite our overall scoring record this season. I did suggest on Christmas Eve about maybe replacing Lambert next month (not selling him, just bringing someone else in).
Luke Shaw is looking like a world beater, we all knew he was solid in defence but looks a handful going forward. Lambert doesn't look like he cares anymore, I'd love for him to smack one in and get his confidence back.
When you watch berbatov he can hold up the ball surrounded by players, havent seen that from lambert in a while, love the man but would quite like to buy a striker
I'm starting to agree... Looks lost and is winning nothing in the air so I think Rod or Mayuka would be more dangerous...I'd happily be proved wrong in the 2nd half by Lambert though

The likes of Bassong, Agger, Skrtel, Cuellar and Hangelaand all in our most recent matches. It can't be easy for Rickie, with no pace, to handle those guys by himself. And that in turn most be frustrating and depressing for him. But this is the Premiership unfortunately. We just don't get CB's that he can destroy each week now. Damm, Ruiz is on.
