2-0 to Liverpool. They'll be too busy running round trying to stamp on Suarez, Johnson & Gerard to bag them. Do they still make the pitch as narrow as possible these days?
Twas the day after Christmas and all through the house, not a thing was there stirring, neither Potter or Scouse. Think this one will be a draw.
I've always loved the away trip on Boxing day and I can't wait for the game tonight I don't care what anyone says, the atmosphere at the Britannia is always one of the best in the country. Add some good old fashioned football into the equation and its most definitely my cup of rosie lee Following our excellent result in the last away trip I think we can go and scrap a result out here. I'd take a scrappy one nil from this fixture anyday but a draw won't be a bad result for either team. Almost impossible to call at the moment. A fair referee is as important to us today as any player we put out onto the pitch. Will our lot be up for a bit of blood and thunder football on Boxing Day? Well we surprised a few by taking on Fat Sams bubble boys and beating them so it could happen but I can't really see past a low scoring draw. Fingers crossed for a good result and a performance more like against Fulham than the bloody Villa Merry Chrimbo/New Year to the Stokies...oh and class thread as always Chris
Morning all, hope you all had a great time yesterday. Will chill and have a few beers on the sofa for this one and hope we can grab a win. It isn't going to be pretty we all know that so the players should also be well aware of it. We will have to be up for the fight.
History suggests we will most likely draw & with our form so erratic I wouldnt be suprised with a loss. Based on our squad and form this season, if you offered me a draw i'd take it, anything more would be over acheiving.
Could be wrong, but got afeelin we will really be at the races tonight, really hard to predict the 11, was thinkin that even Lucas may be left out tonight with only being back from injury a few weeks,I think LFC have gotta play "clever" tonight, lets face Stoke break the rules quite often lets make sure the ref sees it that way
As always a game against the potters is difficult as they play dirty hopefully we come away injury free and with the 3 points. A few people think that we are going to get a draw NOT me going for a win, won't do a score cast as i fail big time with that COME ON
Happy anniversary to Howard Webb. It's 12 months to the day since he last gave a premier league penalty to a non Manchester team Yes Webb is ref 2nite
Radio Our pitch? Nope it's now well within the standards set by UEFA so is wider than it was last season. Although If I'm honest even as a home fan I've not really noticed any difference. I think? It's a yard or so either side. Which is why as Stoke fans we now want to see our two wide men used more often. HOWARD WEBB? So long as he is fair to both teams I'm not that fussed. Whatever happens tonight fella's.. enjoy the game and a Happy New Year to you all.
Diggin up the dirt aren't you? Do you reckon Moyes will be happy with a couple of 4th place ribbons at the end of his Everton career? Even Birmingham have won something in his 10 years in charge!
