When he first came I think Meyler actually tweeted a comment similar to that.

Whilst its a shock and disappointment to all us supporters i am sure SB knew all along that it was just very short term.
If Cattermole is out for 2 months then assume 3 .Can not see Meyler coming back in

I think Hughes is a doubt for them tonight, he's taken a knock and probably won't make it. Even if he does, we have a midfield capable of stifling creativity.

Bruce has always said he thinks the team overall is to small and when you look at our midfield/forward area he is right, Myler ads height and has done well and got better with every game. With Stockdale going now Myler, Aluko out and may be African nations we need to bring in three or four players to give SB a strong enough squad for the run in

Turns out all the players doubtful for Derby are included in the squad. So Hughes will play.

Burnsy says Bruce still hasn't heard anything about Meyler going back.

If true, what does MON think he is playing at? If I was SB, I'd be pretty pissed off to hear one of my players (albeit a loanee) was being recalled through the media!

maybe you can't see it cos the plot is so thick.......

forget what you read or hear in the local media. they are just filling empty spaces on a page or airtime....... replace the words 'plot' with 'smokescreen' and i reckon you have it!

If he's got a one-game ban surely it makes no sense to recall him?

Because if they did, they can't send him back now can they?

perhaps Martin O'Neill got a new pair of mittens for Christmas and can no longer count to 5?

Meyler still at Hull City and now unLikely to be recalled as Sunderlands injury worries are clearing up.

Rumours that Brady will sign permanant in January and both Stockdale and Meyler have agreed season long loans ?
C.I. but also the OSC are also talking about it. Just maybe some substance to it.

With Evans on 4 bookings, IMO Evans should drop to the bench for Meyler and be the only change for TWS game.

While that sounds like the obvious change, we may well see Simpson dropped and Koren going forward with Aluko. Meyler slotting in behind.

Simpson is one of those players you can't help but like, but obviously he isn't scoring and is getting some pretty good chances so he should be the player dropped tomoro for Meyler in my opinion.

The only issue with Simpson would appear to be his missing chances. He ran his socks off on boxing day. Maybe SB will look at him in training and see what gas he has left in the tank.

I dont understand why any of our strikers dont make runs to the near post for all those juicey crosses. Frustrating to say the least.
