This is good news, as aside from stlll being a competent goalkeeper, Brad is a great guy and a great professional and his attitude is a fine example to all young players at our club. That he is happy to remain at the club despite not being the current first choice, does confirm that AVB's handling of the keeper situation earlier in the season, was spot on.
I think this is a good move from Spurs, Lloris doesn't look nearly as good as Friedel and as Spurcat mentions, AVB could have pushed him out of the club if he'd given the gloves to Lloris straight away. I'd still be a bit concerned about having Lloris as a long term replacement though.
Very true. I must admit I was quite surprised to see this news but it shows a change in tact from the club showing desire to keep an old player, giving him a new contract so early. Brad's commitment is also commendable and I hope he's someone who can stay involved with the club beyond his playing career(which will probably be another 20 years!).
Go and drink some more PISKIE and lay off the gin it depresses your otherwise sharp and incisive mind. Drunk in charge of a laptop is not pretty.
I hope Ghoddle doesn't read your comment Piskie as I have a vague impression from past comments that he has a different opinion to you. Could be wrong though I wish he would make himself more clear.
I know Wenger was rumoured to be interested. But my point was that I don't think he's as good as Freidel and he's still to convince me as a long term replacement.
Several weeks of Mannone in goal will make every other goalkeeper look like the second coming of Lev Yashin...
