Im backing Joxer 5/2 with Corals, dont think there should be that much between him and Midnight Game in the betting.

If he runs his race he should give the fav a run for his money getting 10 pounds.

edit that 5/2 was a misprint on Oddscheckers, only 9/5

Joxer with this pull at the weights ought to make this a harder race than Midnight Game's price suggests.

Midnight Game has the better turn of foot...Joxer might be ready for a step up in trip.

Might even consider a beginners chase for him...just short of graded class over timber and a little high in the h'cap.

Midnight Game too good, does look to have improved this season.

Lady Temptress 20/1 e/w in the next for me, this could be a half decent maiden but she looks a nice type to my eye.

Be interesting to see how Kathleen Frances runs, she wont mind the ground and looks the type who could take to hurdles.

    Pre race

    ATR View

"MIDNIGHT GAME made a very pleasing start to the season when hammering Staying Article at Fairyhouse at the start of the month and he will relish the conditions here. Willie Mullins' son of Montjeu looks to have grown up considerably over the summer months and can successfully concede 10lb to Joxer, ..."

    Timeform view

"Midnight Game produced an improved display when scoring at Fairyhouse but, in receipt of 10 lb from Willie Mullins' charge, Joxer looks the one to be on here."

Seems like the ATR chappy had a bit more insight on this one.

It has to be said Midnight Game was quietly impressive there.

Gave away a lot of weight and won with a little bit to spare I thought. An improved horse this season.

Money was right regarding the Mullins horse...very nice performance.

Speckled Wood ran very free and looked to have a good shout two out but emptied quickly..remains a nice prospect on better ground.

Off to bank my £10 profit for the day!

GL all and have a great Christmas.

Thanks for the advice Dexter (and Reebok). I should have gone for the Nessa approach - an individual Celebration choccie each. Cheap and come already wrapped.
