No Sunday racing in the UK today so I have been looking at the Thules card. There is a really shocking handicap hurdle where the two topweights are maidens for Christs sake!
Short prices I know but I am going for a Willie Mullins double today. My main fancy is in the bumper at 3.30 GOLDBOY who ran in a much better race than this on his debut behind Some Article. That day he had SEEFOOD a place behind him which represents very decent form. He wasnt given a hard ride once his chance had gone and I think the more testing ground today will suit him well. 6/4 would be a fair price.
My other one is UNIKA LA RECONCE 2.00 for no better reasons than its the French import sort that Mullins does brilliantly with and Ruby Walsh is there to ride him. Tissue around 11/8 will make a nice little double.
One to watch in the exchanges for the 2.30 is THE PROCRASTINATOR who led until falling in his point and coming from the de Bromhead yard could be very interesting if the market speaks in his favour.

    Hello lads.

The Mullins one in the 2.00 being backed Stick and best priced evens.

I must admit I was quite taken by the debut of Speckled Wood. She is beautifully bred (High Chaparral/Like-a-Butterfly) and stayed on nicely behind two really nice types in a decent race.

The negatives for SW are the awful form on the stable,2wins from 50 odd runners all season, the fact Mullins has a good handle on the form and Alan Crowe in the plate but I'm gonna bung a score on at 11/4 to pass the afternoon in the absence of any La Liga action.

    I'm completely sad.

I'm also gonna have a few quid on Quiet Thought at 20/1 e/w in the 12.30 at Thurles.

Has run better than the form figures suggest since returning this Winter and is dropped another 3lb's to 111.She has some good historical form in the book over hurdles and if in the mood would be more than competitive of that mark in a poor event.

Noras Fancy will take a bit of beating to be honest and 9/2 is probably a fair price.

    Good luck lads.

Nothing for me. Got United this afty, family round before and a few drinks with the best friends after.

How refreshing was Harry yesterday? Massive slap in the face to Mark Hughes. I'd feel sorry for the owners and fans if they went down.

Thats The Dream 15.00 for me

I wouldn't be interested in the odds on Midnight Game 13.30

I Like Goldboy 15.30 but at 6/5 and unproven on the ground I wouldn't be too tempted.

Makeadifferencein the bumper at 10/1. Came over to cheltenham for its debut so connections must feel there is something to work with. Also Rakmasi and Nashville Swing. Small stakes to avert my boredom through the afternoon slog of present wrapping. Blokes just shouldn't have to cope with these tasks - doesn't matter how hard I try they still always look ****e!

It's easy, Chanin ... you have seen fish and chips wrapped often enough - paper diagonal on, 2 forward wraps, in from both sides, forward wraps to finish and one strip of sellotape. Job done! <laugh>

Happy enough with the e/w landed at 20's.

She made a catastrophic mistake at the fence in front of the stands and that ended all chance of winning but she is capable of winning of a similar mark in this type of company.

Hope you had a saver on the winner Eddie...I talked myself out of it.

<laugh>...Bad luck Chanin!...Why not use tin foil like the fat bloke from Gavin & Stacey...scrunch the edges up and you won't even need tape...you can pass it off as being very space age and futuristic!
