I don't have solutions but I am at least glad Harry is calling it (in the open) the way it is. Looks like we are in deep trouble in many ways. Depressing reading about the lack of anything much today.
I think your right Nuts, whether we can win our next 2 games or not we need to start trying to offload some of these overpaid players who are not giving 100% for the club. If anyone else is stupid enough to take them.
Absolutely. I read an article about Joe Hart this morning in which he said Hughes just didn't rate him and bombed him out on loan. That tells you all you need to know about the Welsh tosser. He's created a Frankenstein monster which will take some sorting out...
Having missed the game today completely and only just caught up with events i have to say I am very shocked by this report and would like to apologise to any poster on here who I may have insulted with my viewpoint... i was wrong I am seriously shocked by this public criticism of QPR but it seems on the surface very honest and very factual. I apologise to fans you were right it seems about Bosingwa who many know i truly rate but to learn that he did refuse to sit on the bench is of course very disturbing. You cannot believe the stuff written as every journo is out to generate drama at all costs. I was wrong on this matter. I hope that this is a deliberate tactic to squeeze more out of the players by rightfully making an example of this dreadful incident Bosingwa will need to think very carefully about his step being ex Chelsea. I am not about to pour my anger into anyone as it's gone, its happened. I still believe we have the illness as a fan base on here as who's next? and i call on us all to get behind what we have now as we need to grow and grow fast. The rabbit is out the bag and we will get shot at now until the WBA game I have no idea about the game today ... its gone again apologies to those you were correct on this issue
Again, no surprise. Paying players in their thirties huge sums of money was utter madness and now we have a jumped up little upstart like Bosignwa who thinks he is too good to be on the bench. Hopefully he is one we can off load in January. The blame lies solely with Hughes.I think Fernandes and Mittal were in a no-win situation. They gave Hughes a total free rein when it came to the playing staff, this was confirmed in an interview I read with Amit during the summer, but Hughes made a complete mess of it and seemed to be more concerned with giving his old chums like Zamora and Johnson inflated deals rather than creating a strategy for the club to move forward. However, if they had stepped in an vetoed some of the deals they would have been accused of interferring like we had in the Briatore days. The stories linking us with Anelka also concern me, another player in their thirties with inflated wages matched only by their egos. Can we employ Laudraup's scouts and pick someone up like Michu! We must win our next two home matches just to bring us within spitting distance of the pack but at least we are not bottom at Christmas.
Brilliant post that. Top top drawer. Your humility is admirable mate. To be fair I'm just as bad except in the other direction. If there weren't supporters like you the Club would have died a long time ago.
Same here, he bangs on about egos and mercenaries but here we have one of the biggest egos in the world who causes lots of problems at clubs and only scored 3 goals in 22 games in the Chinese league. Hulse could hit double figures in 22 games! I know it was a long running joke about me going on about signing old players but its right, for every Nelsen, theres 10 Boswingas, Zamoras, Dyers, Johnsons etc that are no good for the club due to egos, lost ability, injury etc
I wonder if there'll be any disciplinary action taken against Harry for this outburst? You'd hope not. Perhaps he's particularly vociferous about this kind of thing because of his experiences with Portsmouth? If would be an unwelcome blemish on his record if he was at helm of two clubs who went bust... Then again, this could all be designed to let potential sellers know that we won't be taken for a ride in January. With regards to the game, i'm still confident we'll bounce back Vs West brom. The Wigan performance was hardly exceptional...yet we followed it up with something special Vs Fulham. You'd imagine Onouha/Traore will be fit by then as well, so it's likely that we'll field an idential lineup to last week.
Hes already saying we wont be ripped off on prices, now hes saying the same about wages and hes already said 90% of the players hes been offered are dire, Hughes would have signed then all!
As a fulham fan we to are going through a bad spell. But to many of us fans have to listen to the s..t that managers come out with after bad games "we were unlucky, the ref was against us, the players did not try,so and so played out of position" We do not buy the players, formulate tactics,or negotiate their high wages, if most of us mere mortals showed this ineptitute in our place of work dismissel would be a certainty. As for hughes it appears this incompetant may be returning to Blackburn
Yes. Quite frankly it's the older guard that we need to look in to, maybe not quite as old as the likes of Zamora or Johnson (although they've played very well for us).
I'm just not sure whether he's premier league quality. He'll work his socks off no doubt on dirt cheap wages.
This is good to know as was quite puzzling when we saw the team line-up on arriving at the ground. As people have been saying, how on earth are we gonna get rid of these players? Some of them seem to have long contracts. I can't believe that TF was so naive in this aspect of his running of the club - he must feel a totally let down by Hughes.
i was thinkin that too. tony fernandez seems to be forgiving so hopefully not. glad harry said it. though we all know it allready.
A lot of you seem to be saying that Harry is only stating the bleedin' obvious but some of us visiting fans of other clubs on here were saying it about Hughes players long ago and getting slammed for it,Now I rate 'arry,he tells it how it is but your owners should have never signed him in the first place,Warnock was a better manager.Having signed him they should never have let him loose with a cheque book .Sorry lads Hughes has f***ed your club.
First wigan and now newcastle. Two teams we were lucky to play against at the time (injuries and form) but walked away outplayed and with our tales between our legs. Shows we're just as capable of sh** performances under Harry as we were under MH. But it's clear Harry will point the finger and do something about it and that's what excites me about the rest of the season. He won't let things spiral out of control.
I wonder whether the quotes Harry made are designed to see whether he can fire up some of our expensive slackers. Clearly Bosingwa is history, but will it have the desired effect for the West Brom game?...
Part of arry's repertoire is playing the innocent abroad. He is in fact anything but and I guess it's all part of his game.Hats off to him for taking on the challenge.Personally I don't think he will keep you up but if he does it will be his greatest achievement yet.
