Happy Christmas one and all...hope the festive cheer will out weigh the doom and gloom about our beloved Rangers. For at least one day though, lets be merry and enjoy!

Just wandered back over to wish you all a Merry Christmas and relegation free New Year.

I've been lucky enough to meet a number of contributors to this forum over the last year and, without exception, they've all been good, honest, passionate Rs. From that perspective the best day of the year has to have been the gathering of the #IrishRs at the Crown and Sceptre, if only the players could have matched their endeavour.

There is still a long way to go this season, but we are NOT going down.

Love that expression "****pig"... I use it all the time, although Mrs Uber refuses to answer unless I suffix it with "dear". Hope you have the Christmas you'd wish for yourself, Dave. Looking forward to The Great Escape, starring Harry Redknapp as the Cooler King.

Best to everyone. 2013 cannot surely give us a worse time, so whether we stay up or not, I reckon it must be a fair bet our game on game results next year will be less depressing.

Merry Christmas to each and everyone of you. You have all kept me entertained during this Anubis horriblis, which it has been on the whole as in regards to our results and performances. Our little run of home wins being the only shining light. Here's to a better New year. URs.

You too Nines mate. Hope your roster isn't too bad for the Xmas/New Year.

I see a picture of Mbia above. I have to say, I do like the cut of that lad. Seems to be an honest bloke.

Speaking of honest players, in the paper today I came across what the Madrid keeper Casillas had to say on being dropped despite seemingly playing very well. Remember, this is the Spanish number one and a World-renowned player. Here's an excerpt from his quote:

"The coach decides which team he thinks is best for each match, and you need to accept the decision,". "I'm not used to being a substitute, but not Iker Casillas or any player is above the team. What I need to do is continue training and try to recover the confidence of the coach.''

Now compare that attitude to Jose Bosingwa. Speaks volumes doesn't it lads?

Swords mate Casillas is one of the best blokes in the game, 1 in 10000 has his attitude believe me. He's just great person and one of the Real Madrid great ones. Of course Bosingwa was wrong but I wouldn't be angry with Casillas if he said he didn't like the fact he was on the bench. He contributed to the team so much and so long but that's Casillas a top top player. You can't dislike him

It seems like he is a real Pro mate. I just wish all players could have that kind of attitude.

I hope I didn't go OTT in criticising your boy, Granero mate. Just calling it how I see it so no offence meant. Its just that players with great talent that don't try, really get on my nerves. That's why Cisse winds me up so much!

Do you think he will be sold in January?

Cheers swords, I finished my night shifts this morning at 09:30. So it shall be a rare Christmas off for me. I'm just trying to catch up on the latest threads just now. I'm on New Years Eve night though, but at least that saves me a small fortune in going out for the evening.

That's a great point about Casillas. True pro. Bosingwa spent a lot of the time on the bench at Chelsea yet never walked out. He has shown us all what a huge disrespect he has for our 'little club'.
