Why are we letting them have so much possession, on our ground? Bloody conceding just before halftime too.
Dominated the first half hour. Game then turned scrappy with Sunderland scoring through Fletcher. Mayuka then denied a stonewall penalty. Been all Saints first half but as it was earlier in the season we just can't seem to take our chances. Dissapointing. Mayuka has actually looked a threat up top if you ask me
This is true. Everything else about our game has been pretty good, but the ball has been hanging in the air too long and it makes it easy for their defenders.
Several misplaced 5 yard passes and unchallenged losses of the ball in midfield last 20 minutes of that half. Awful! Last time I thought that we had played so ineptly coming to HT we turned a 0-1 scoreline into a 4-1 win against Villa. Here's hoping we get some inspiration and we can't physically play any worse than we did the last 20 mins :-/ Lat
We have not "let" them have possession. For the last 10/15 minutes the game became a scrappy afair. With not one team managing to hold on to the ball for long periods. The way we change this is by starting the second half by getting hold of the ball and playing it around better like we did for the first half hour. We look the better side. 45% of possesion in this game has taken place in Sunderlands final third. Promising if we can take our chances 2nd half
Yep, some really good play up to their 18 yard box. Need to provide much better delivery after the break though. Like you said, everything's high and deep. Lallana usually the one that takes them?
Same, you make it sound like we haven't been in it, when you talk about this dominating!?? We deserve the lead and so does the BBC sports reporter at the game, so that means I'm right.
I think that he's been involved in the vast majority of our effective moves, and had a very credible shout for a penalty. How about you?

He meant to say you aren't "letting" them have the possession (I think), they're just good at keeping the ball against you and you are struggling to keep it (according to what the Southampton poster is saying) Its like someone complaining about their team letting Barcelona have possession, when its clearly something you can't stop happening.
