Fascinating to see King George River making his debut for Alan Bailey tomorrow in the opener at Lingfield. He was quite impressive when winning on debut in a race that has worked our rather well. The second won his next three races culminating in a listed event which earned him a mark of 91. KGR blew out on his second and last appearance when a hot favourite for a listed event at Tipperary. He obviously has ability but interesting that Coolmore disposed of him. Intriguing to see if there is any cash for him tomorrow from a yard who aren't afraid to put their dosh down.
Looking like the Rakebackmypoker.Com syndicate christmas bonus tonight in the 5:50 wolves. 4 entered and now only one to post. With W carson taking over from good old nora looby. Allegedly a lot of money has gone on through the doubles/trebles non runner trick. And i hear the owners have organized a helicopter to the track to watch. currently 11/4. Will be interesting to see how this pans out and i suspect brown pete will be ridden with alot more restraint. Was basically a non tryer from the front last time. I hope they get what they deserve. caution advised if betting in this race.
I noticed that as well Hawkeye, i hope all those non runners will be properly scrutinized by the powers that be. I have noticed that Phillip Makin has gone to Wolves tonight to ride one horse. At the prices you would not give it much chance but it must be worth a small wager being trained by David O'Meara as well. Wolverhampton 6.20 Come Hither 18-1 best odds with Bet victor
The forum's favourite trainer has entered Punjabi in the Christmas Hurdle ................ now THAT would be a training performance
The bumper at Ascot was a prime example of switching jockeys and getting a different result. Geraghty wins on the second, as good as the winner may turn out to be.
Courtez & Bostonbob, having now watched the replay of the Ascot bumper again I am not too displeased with Kings Palace. The winner looks a very good horse and I dont think McCoy gave mine his all, pssibly under instructions not to "beat him up". He did get after him but late and not persistent! A race worth watching again.
Struck me as well Stick - hardly a typical power-packed AP finish. Geraghty was niggling the winner coming out of Swindley Bottom but he responded very well and it was a nice debut. I wouldn't read too much into the form because of the ground but the front 2 do look smart as they pulled readily clear of the others. I think both the winner and second will want further than 2 miles though. Puffin Billy really impressed me today
I agree with you guys, I may be looking at it from a losing bet point of view but McCoy's ride again left a lot to be desired but I accept that the ground and winner may just have been too much for the horse. Would have done my winnings on Conducting anyway.
Not sure guys. I thought AP led at a sensible pace and quickened turning in.He looked to have the race won but the second kept on stoutly and to be fair was well on top at the line and was actually going away. There was no point getting stuck into the second to narrow the losing margin.McCoy can never be accused of giving horses overly tender riides as a rule...on the ground today I thought he rode a sensible race. Two really nice young horses and don't also forget the second is only a 4-y-o even if he did have an experience advantage. All about opinions as always.
