Haha..how did she explain that one away to your auntie? My moment is Colin ****er's face after we beat Leeds 1-0 after an inspired display from SKD and a great goal from Rickie....
1) Saints 4, Coventry 0 2) That Saturday night team GB treble in the Olympics; Mo Farrah, Jess Ennis and Greg Rutherford all in the space of about an hour. 3) Frankel winning the International at York
Just watched it, that is pretty funny. Balotelli can't be that daft though, when did he learn to speak Spanish??
Pretty good feeling coming out of the exam hall after my last exam ever! Handing in my dissertation should have been a good feeling except I felt ill at the time having consumed countless energy drinks and a lack of sleep over the pre-deadline 48 hour rush. Graduating was a good feeling and watching my girlfriend graduate was pretty sweet too. Completing the Great South Run about 30mins quicker than I thought I would, having screwed up my knee, and shin splints hampering training. Promotion day was another highlight. I was sat in a study room in the Plymouth University library trying my best to revise for exams. As much as I tried I just kept thinking about the game and ended up streaming it to my laptop in the library. I had to leave at half time because I couldn't hide my excitement and let out a yelp or two as the goals went in. Needless to say not much revision got done that day!
Saints v Coventry. Europe's amazing comeback in the Ryder Cup. The last 10 minute adrenalin rush of Millwall away was incredible. ps. The 5-0 premier league victory against Sunderland was pretty cool too.
Yeah, have to agree with that. Also agree with PompeyLapras that the Olympic and Paralympic games were the best sporting events I'd ever seen. The next time a presenter suggests that the World Cup is the biggest sporting spectacle on the planet [they have in the past], I shall just laugh. The London Olympics showed what a real sporting event is all about.
Congratulations...arrival of a little one is a great event in anyone's life (As is the moment they leave home).
Apart from Southampton gaining promotion, there was that magical night at the Olympics when the stadium went into meltdown (Jessica Ennis, Greg Rutherford, and Mo Farah), going to Brazil to see one of my special friends, finally meeting a lady that I have been communicating with for over a year on the island of Majorca from where I write this little piece, and many a picnic in the park (Crystal Palace and Victoria to name two) with my friend Marie and at the beginning of the year going on a five day cruise with another female friend. Spoilt for choice!!!
Just after Jos scored the third against Coventry and nearly every man, woman and child stood up at St Mary's and sang "We are Southampton, we're Premier League". A fantastic feeling after seven long years.
