Defender(s) of the season: Liam Rosenior/Ant Gerrard.
Midfielder of the season: Robert Koren

Goalie of the season: Vito Mannone
Defender(s) of the season: Liam Rosenior. (I think Rosey has been immense this season, and our end of season form since we lost him is no coincidence IMHO)
Midfielder of the season: Robert Koren (by default. I think it's been our weakest area by far - he has no rivals)
Striker of the season: Matty Fryatt

Player of the season: Liam Rosenior (As mentioned above)

Biggest disappointment (player): Jay Simpson (Harper is as Reading and Blunts fans warned us he would be. I genuinely thought Simpson would take to the league better)

Most horny on the ball: Erm... is this not libellous? I'm going for Roary after a bagful of catnip.

Young player of the year: Don't know enough of the jnrs to comment.

Goal of the season: John Bostock v Swansea
Worst mistake of the season: Aaron Mclean vs. Doncaster (Home)
Best match of the season: Norwich 0-2 Hull City. (In fairness probably not the best, but the after match feeling was without doubt the best.)
Worst game of the season: Hull City 0-1 Scunthorpe. (Worst feeling of the year.)

Not sure what that means, but probably not :) Just a fun expression for someone who likes the ball a bit too much....

Ah right. Makes sense now. Not sure we've had anyone too selfish this season have we? I'd say least horny for the ball was Fryatt v Doncaster. He should have gone for the hattrick instead of selflessly setting up a team mate for a certain goal (and we all know how that ended)

See that's the thing for me. I recognise that games like Scunny away could be considered the best or the worst, if we're on top for the whole game then naturally they're good games. But for the best/worst of the season, I think you have to look at late wins/defeats from a spectator's point of view. The game vs. Scunny was worse than vs. Boro for me. By the end of the Boro game, we'd been behind for 75 minutes, I just wanted to go home. The game vs. Scunny, which should have been a bore draw suddenly gave you a kick in the nuts right at the end.

If I had to have a defeat, give me a 5 goal kicking over a last minute goal in a bore draw any day.

Goalie of the season: Vito Mannone
Defender(s) of the season: Liam Rosenior
Midfielder of the season: Robert Koren
Striker of the season: Matty Fryatt

Player of the season: Liam Rosenior

Most disappointing player: James Harper <grr> Mark Cullen <grr> Kamil Zayatte <grr> Jimmy Bullard <grr>

Most horny on the ball: <laugh> Er, Koren

Young player of the year: Hmm... Can't really think of one. Maybe Holohan, because he's made it into the matchday squad a few times.
    WE NEED AN ACADEMY.

Goal of the season: John Bostock vs Leeds United (Away)

Worst mistake of the season: There were goals in a few games you could point to, but for the simple fact there were, embarassingly, several in the first half against Boro, I'll say the players even turning up for that game was the worst mistake.

Best match of the season: S****horpe 1-5 Hull. REVENGE. Mwahahaha! <laugh> Enjoy League One you inbred ****s!
Worst match of the season: Hull 0-1 S****horpe. I hate those ****s. I really hate them. Painful.
But again, enjoy League One you inbred ****s!

Simpson was **** until xmas, for whatever reason, but he has been much better since then and has a decent scoring record given his limited chances since McLean's arrival. In fact, McLean at £1.3m or Simpson at £300k or whatever it was. I think Mclean was a much bigger disappointment. P'Boro fans made out like he was an explosive goal-getter but he actually just runs a bit :S

I'd say Cairney has been the biggest disappointment this season. For a player that showed he could handle himself against the likes of Chelsea and Man City to be as dominated by far poorer and less physical players (De Jong and Vieira the main two I'm thinking of comparing them to) was pathetic. He should have been our "Alonso" alongside Ashbee this season and instead he just seemed to hide and go backwards (performance level rather than just direction of passes).

Biggest dissapointment.....Fryatt missing in the final minutes of the QPR home game, I think that would have had an effect on the remainder of our season at home.
