Whilst admittedly my original October statement of "Ba and Cisse can't play together in the same team" should have had "as strikers" squeezed in there somewhere, at least I elicited a more considered response than "bollocks" this time.

i think ba is going, but there will be no resentment personally. Despite the distasteful way he is manufacturing a move away. We bought him for nothing, he payed his wages in goals and i'd like to think that with this transfer clause being activated there shall be no loyalty bonus, meaning their is actually a profit, we never recieved this from Duff, Owen, Viduka, Luque etc. (the list is really endless) actually think cisse will thrive on his departure because we'll be forced to build from within the mifield rather than ba slowing down the pace of attack whilst we wait for him to get forward. What actually worries me more is that Ashley will not be prepared to re-invest in our strikeforce, cisse gets injured and we end up with Ameobi up front with ranger for cover!:afro:

If he ends up at Villa I'll piss my pants with laughter <laugh>

In truth, Sunderland could surely do worse than having Bent back!
