Do you think he could take the Tarbs role played against Fulham. If Tarbs goes to ACON do you put him behind Cisse/Another? I think it may work if we don't buy someone else to fill that role.

That's kinda the role he played for Madrid isn't it? (This is El Pirata's area of expertise!)
Alternatively Hoillet might do a job?

He could do but his attitude had better change pronto. I wouldn't even put him in the hole in the dugout at the moment.

I don't really see him as that sort of player - distribution is his game, not dribbling.

Might still work well in a 3 man central midfield, but we couldn't expect the same type of impact/influence from him as we might from Adel - he's not gonna commit too many opposition players with a nutmeg, for example.

Potentially, I think he's the best replacement we have for Adel. But he'd need to be back at least to the form he showed in his first few games with us.

    Back to the thread:

granero in the hole? take cover

I think he could or SWP/Holiett or Mackie i would even play Samba Diakite in there! I would also think about DJ and Bothroyd as they may well spark under harry if we can get them back off loan

We have a truly beautiful midfield no problems whatsoever we just need to play

Yes he can. He just needs to sort his head and gets some confidence back

    Holy S**t, what a strike!

Really got to get this guy playing again, especially if we're gonna lose Adel.

Diakite for me this is the 3rd time I have mentioned it and I really believe he would be a perfect alternative.

Granero should never have cut his hair. He'll soon get that Pirate look back and all will be fine.

Noticed SSN featured a Rangers clip and little focuses on Granero and Hoilett. Both looked surprisingly upbeat and part of. They'll get their chances I'm sure.

Look Oddball, these clowns have us up to our necks in sh*t. Okay, we had a useless Coach but again I think the players have gotten off far too lightly on this Board.

Pretty much all of the signings are accomplished pro's or highly rated players. Yet for almost the first half of the season they've played like they've never seen a football before. NOT Hughes' fault there. Most of them didn't even try. NOT Hughes' fault there either. They've let us and themselves down with their lethargy so as far as I'm concerned, its up to them to prove their worth to us - not the other way around!

I'm saying nothing that our new Manager didn't say when he first arrived. He didn't try and curry favour with them by kissing arse, he said they all should be embarrassed with where they've got themselves. And that if any punk wants to wander around with his hands on his hips then he's out of the team.

It seems to me that a lot of people have more loyalty to the players themselves rather than the Club. Its something I've always found puzzling about Rangers fans. Maybe its the same with all Clubs, I don't know. What I do know is that it bloody annoys me. Players are only temporarily representing the Club and should act accordingly. Granero can philosophise and syllogize all he wants and he can tell the World how much carbon offsetting he achieves by driving around in a mini.

But he can fu*k right off if he thinks he can act the cu*t when he's wearing our blue and white hooped jumper.

I was going to say, in complete harmlessness ( as listed above ) ............ Granero can fill Tarbs hole while he's away .................... but thinking about it now, it sounds a bit suss to say the least.
I'm now looking for a new speech writer.

Yes, we do have sufficient cover, providing they turn up with their sleeves rolled up.
If the team fires as a whole, we will be OK.
