Not wishing to tempt fate, but this could be a really good time to play Newcastle. What with their injury list.... NEWCASTLE UNITED 7 injuries H Ben Arfa Hamstring Injury no return date * * * S Taylor Hamstring Injury 22nd Jan 13 * * * G Obertan Toe Injury no return date * * * Y Cabaye Groin/Pelvis Injury Feb 13 * * * D Gosling Knee Injury no return date * * * H Vučkić ACL Knee Injury May 13 * * * R Taylor ACL Knee Injury Mar 13 * There are also rumours of a rift in the camp, with Demba Ba and Cisse not getting on with each other particularly well. Demba Ba also saying to the French media that he would like to join Arsenal, has put him into disrepute with the club and faces a possible discipline charge. Danny Simpson it also seems is unhappy in the north east and wants away. He is refusing to sign a new contract and is looking for a move. Along with the above is also their poor form of late and lack of confidence, after us they play Man U so there will be a lot of pressure on them to win this game. If they don't they can find themselves in the mire as their next game following United is against Everton. Another key factor is that a few of their players are one yellow away from a ban. Most notably Tiote who will probably be the man chosen to try and stop Taarabt. I hope Harry can get the lads well prepared for this game, as this is a chance to get rid of our record of appalling run of away games without a win. I'm not saying its going to be easy, far from it but if we can build on last weekends performance and result we have a great chance. Come on you Rsss.
Great thanks Nines! We got to get an away win sooner or later - one Saturday is very possible and couldn't come at a better time. The one element that may just do it for us is Luck! We haven't had much this season until Fulham - Adel's first goal may just be an indication that our Luck has changed and we will now have a lucky streak. Hope the Stavern psychic agrees !
Good post Nines, cheers. But I seem to remember a similar post from you before the Wigan game, didn't do us any good that time... Hope you're right though, I have a good feeling about this one myself to be honest. Very important that Cabaye is missing, their most influental player by a mile.
I forgot about that one. I have a good feeling about this game though I really do. As Oslo mentioned, if the Stavern psychic agrees and it seems like you do then I might just take up betting.
Good post 999. Good to hear their injury list. Re the four bookings - we also have three players one booking from a ban - Taarabt, Diakite, Granero i think.
01 Krul 02 Coloccini 03 Santon 05 Simpson 06 Williamson 14 Perch 08 Anita 18 Gutierrez 24 Tiote 09 Cisse 19 Ba Subs: 21 Elliot 31 Ferguson 34 Tavernier 20 Bigirimana 22 Marveaux 23 Sh Ameobi 28 Sa Ameobi We need Mbia to sort out Tiote as i see it ... The perch should be easy as they suckers for fresh worms. I hope we have a go at the team above and really press them
Obviously we are all hoping and praying for 3Pts but an away point at St James would be a very acceptable result
Apparently Pardew has never won a game with Newcastle when they've gone behind...here's hoping for an early Rangers goal!
They played really well in the 2nd half against Man City, they'll still be a tough nut to crack whatever team they put out. Let's hope our confidence is now high and we might just surprise them...
yes they very nearly made it 2 -2 if my memory serves me right before going on to lose. its going to be very difficult up there, they still have a better team than us and we'll need some good fortune i think.
That squad could still easily poo on us!. They are due a win sooner or later, just hope its not this weekend. We are great ones for getting our hopes up after a good game and how many times have the wheels come off in the next game!...Id take a draw right now away to Newcastle.
I'd take a draw too. But we have the Harry factor, he is capable of getting another 15-20% out of our mercenaries. Pardew isn't capable of getting any more out of his squad. This Newcastle side aren't capable of digging in and getting a result. They aren't familiar with must win games. I'm expecting an unexpected away win. Worse case scenario a draw.
I won't believe the injury boost thing after Wigan but if we go out there and give it everything then we're in the mix.
Thor is the all powerful god of the skies. If we're losing he'll shoot a bolt of lightening and fry Tim Krul to a crisp. In Norway we trust
