He's the cancerous parasite (the only words I can come up with) who, following an interview with Bates yesterday (fact) has published a personal attack on LUST Chairman Gary Cooper (Billyisgod on not606). Whether you're a LUST fan or not is irrelevant, its the difference between right and wrong; good and bad. It may have been THANKS to GC that we have new buyers taking control of our club, agree??? 4) When all said and done, GC is one of us. How would we like it if the press got hold of something that may or may not have happened to a friend or family member in the past, and stirred and twisted it out of all proportion... Rant over. Chelsea match tonight, not sure my heart will hold out if it goes to pens.....
Morning SSGT EB. Can't be ar$ed worrying what's in any of the papers about our new owners, only interested in the Mighty Whites v FACTski.... er sorry make that Chelski. Should be a good game. Like everyone else, I hope we win. But as long as we don't embarass ourselves & the game is remembered for what happens on the pitch rather than anything happening off it, I'll be content. Talking of which, I see WYP are doing their bit with the help of the press to stir things up a bit. FACT is allegedly a professional, so he'll shake Warnock's hand. Will Colin reciprocate? Will Diouf be "rested" just in case? Apart from Ashdown, assuming he's fit, will we play a squad team including Poleon, White, etc, or will we play the strongest team we have available. Saturday is way more important to both sides. So maybe my comment about it being a string match might not be too far off the truth. Time will tell. Let the banter begin.

Morning all GC was done all he could to help his brother, including putting his home on the line. I have two sisters myself who I would do anything for so to me its a complete non story, but as I said on another thread man helps brother doesnt sell newspapers.
Morning All, Abusive tweet sent to scum journalist, vote of confidence given to Gary. Still seething about it. It's clear to me that there was a 'print this & I'll give you a really good exclusive interview' thing going on. Peculiar how the story went out when we have maximum exposure in the press with the Chelsea game, isn't it? And by coincidence, the formal takeover is only 2 days away. If you were planning to take out LUST, you couldn't time it better, could you? Just when they are able to publish their 'sealed evidence', their credibility is called into question. Any evidence now will be pounced upon by the press as 'bleating' or some such word. I'm absolutely disgusted at Bates. I really hope Gary gets legal representation to make a formal complaint to the Press Complaints Commission, and sues the arse off the mail for invasion of privacy. Sadly, even if successful, the source of the story will never be revealed. But then, we all know who instigated it anyway, I suppose.
Not sure we know who instigated it Jocky. But Gary's problem may surround how much was in the public domain already. Anyway moving on to matters relating to today. Likely to be a good game? Danger of any crowd trouble, or will 3k visitors & 35k locals all behave themselves & stick to some normal community singing? In answer to your strapline Jock, perhaps the families of the 96 should be asking someone to explain how it was that so many more 'pool fans ended up in the leppings lane end than should have been there. Morning all. I've been on twitter and waccoe a lot last night and it's fantastic to see the support Gary is getting, and from the only people that count in my books, fellow Leeds fans. I've said elsewhere, I would love to see a huge banner of Gary unfurled in the cop and waved in bastard batess face, just to prove who we support. I have no brothers or sisters unfortunately, but have in laws and would also do whatever I could to help if they were in trouble. I also think it's important Haigh and GFH distance themselves from this rubbish article and also distance themselves asap from the cancer that is bates. I've never wished him harm, I think, but am rapidly changing my mind on that one. Football is a sport ffs, how can it be allowed to encroach on a decent man's personal life. I cant even be arsed about tonights game, I'm so pissed off with this

Gary Cooper is a self serving fool with a tendancy to be a media whore. If you lay down with dogs you get fleas. His rent a quote sh*te has done himself, LUST or LUFC no credit. IMO he has only one agends, to see hiimself on the tele and in the papers.
The question has been asked, and I believe the police originally lied about it. They seem to be coming clean now. If they had managed the situation correctly, then the whole situation would not have arisen. The same could be said for SWFC - they didn't have a valid safety licence, so the game shouldn't have gone ahead in the first place. For me, there were 3 key factors: 1. No safety licence - so game shouldn't have happened there. 2. Police didn't manage crowd correctly outside the ground, causing crushing. 3. Fatal mistake - gate opened by police to alleviate external crush - causing much worse and fatal crush inside the ground. There are many, many other things that people need nailed for too. I'm surprised you asked. I thought all this was common knowledge?

Perhaps the source is one of the 29900 Leeds fans who will turn up tonight who are not sucked into the propaganda game that Fat Man and LUST have played so badly for the last 12 months. Bates won, LUST lost. Given the circumstances that is one hell of an achievement for both parties. But in Kens case LUST made it easy by scoring own goals at every given opportunity.
A private matter, that should stay private. But All cooper has banged on about is the running of the club ( which I agree with) But it turns out cooper couldnt run a bath. Should he be not chairman for a private matter, 100% not should he be not chairman, because all he is fame hungry, and to be honest not qualified enough, to talk on the matters he tries to. Cheers for that Jock. I hadn't taken too much interest until recently, so wasn't aware of the situation. That said, there are still stories doing the rounds about forged tickets & a massive scrum to get into the ground. All in all, as sad occasion.
