We all know we can be top but anything could happen in the next few games. Really regretting that we didn't finish Palace off now though, we'd be 2nd.
It's only at the end that it counts. No one has broken away this season but if we keep winning then we have that chance, however I don't want us to break away only to get caught & miss out on automatic & end up in the play offs. Mentally it would not be good for the players & I'm sure the fans would be booing about how it all went pear shaped when we should have finished everyone off, look at the fall out after the Peterborough game.
We definately could be, Though I doubt we will be. We should beat Derby, But Leicester will be a tough game, And alot will depend upon the players available and Brucies tactics. Leeds will be a tough game also, and we really need to be on the top of our game. Not sure who Cardiff or Palace play, But we IMO our next 3 games could be some of the biggest of the season.
We can easily lose our next 3 but we are more than capable of winning our next 3 but I think we will get 6 points from them which should see us in the top 2
cardiffs next three leicester away palace home millwall home. palace, udders home cardiff away forest away
Don't want to go top too early- you're there to be shot at. Why should we win at Derby? they're very decent The most important game is against Lesster- a chance for the players to bury the ghost of that defeat at their place earlier in the season, and to inflict a psychological blow on a rival. Let's go Hull!
There's nothing to prevent us from expecting to be top by New Year. It depends entirely on our consistency over what's going to be a hectic Festive Period and a severe test to our Promotion Credentials when we're playing the likes of Derby (Who have made their home a fortress of late), Leicester (Also battling for Promotion) and Leeds (Need I say anything?). I think it helps that we're at home for the Leicester and Leeds games, and should we come away with at least 7 points from these 3 games, I'd be ecstatic. They're all definitely winnable, especially with our form of late, and I believe we can make the top of the table. It makes that 0-0 draw with Palarse a little more sour though...
My regret too. I don't know if Palace were **** that night, or we just made them look ****. But they really weren't all that good.
I have learnt to expect nothing then if we get something its a pleasant surprise. Derby oo! I don't think so, Leeds oh no not again, Leicester, I just hope so. I am a real pessimist especially at Christmas.
If we are top by new year, it would make a huge difference to the quality of players we are able to bring in.
Being top would be a big help, there's no time too early to be top of the league. It just gives you more confidence and makes other teams respect you more.
We just need 2 win our games and not worry about anyone else. If we get the 9 points before christmas then I think we will be top
What a day the 29th december could be. Beat TWS and go top to end 2012 and start 2013. Perfect and the fextive fixtures could not have been planned any better. Dog eat dog. But the only league table that matters is the last one.!!!
