Most importantly, we must start with Wickham up front, or a new targetman bought, with Fletcher then starting in the sessegnon position. Sessegnon has to be moved from one of the strikers positions, where he is totally ineffective imo apart from a few circus tricks, as he just won't ever score the goals we need to prosper. He simply isn't a natural goalscorer and it shows. Johnson needs a massive toe up the arse imo because he has been largely anonymous so far this season and I'd happily do it. We need 2 pacy, creative central players. We need a new wide man the replace Mcclean who despite a couple of better performances of late is just a very poor player who has been found out now. We absolutely need to secure Rose's signature. We need a new right back if Bardsley is going to be out for some time as yesterday showed how weak we are without him. We need at least 1 new central defender as we have been too prone to stupid mistakes recently and its costing us dearly now. Apart from that, we are fine.
The team that the majority would have is: ---------------------Mignolet------------------ New RB?-----New CB?----O'Shea----------Rose Johnson---------Catts----New CM?---------Sess ---------------Fletcher-----Wickham------------- Subs: Westwood Kilgannon Cuellar Gardner Larsson Saha New CF? ----------- I agree Danny Rose is a must and we should seal the deal in January.
We have to play Wickham and Fletch up front with Sess and AJ on the wings then we will start to win games.
We are if played to them tactics but the trouble is MON is stubborn and I can see him persisting with 4-5-1
Am I the only one who thinks Oshea makes Gary Breen look like Vincent Kompany? I think he's awful and is definitely one that should be replaced if we want to progress. We simply arent going to play 4-4-2 either and im resigned to that. How many teams in the Premier League do now play a flat 4-4-2?
With you on this one mate recently he has been pants, no reasons for it that I'm aware of (injury, sickness, family problems) he has just lost it.
Looking at our away fixtures we play ALL the teams below Liverpool and including them this season only Chelsea, WBA and Spurs away left as our toughest games. So that looks good maybe 4 more defeats away ?, but Man c, Man u, Spurs, Arsenal, at home.
The way I see it. A bit like QPR now tbh. We are ****e, although performances have improved, We look like conceding at least two per game. Why not go out and try to score three. Lets get this attack thingymabob going. Lets get some forwards on the pitch and go for it. We have had some canny chances v Man U, Norwich, Reading and again next week v Southampton is a must get something game (just to wipe their confidence as reading their board they think we are easy meat) Go for it and we'll get something. Don't and we wont. Back to OP, two quality m/f would take all the pressure off the defence and support the attack. We need these more than anything. At the moment, players who are not performing are shoe in's to start, this has got to change. Pronto.
Personally I see a new CM for Catts role coming in to play next to Gardner. Catts only plays about 50% of the games due to injuries and suspensions so a big strong defensive midfielder who can pick the ball up off the back 4 and make thinks happen is a priority for me. Gardner is great going forward and works hard too. We need a pacy CB too. A rb on loan and maybe a striker too.
After Jan I'd like to be playing: Mig New RB/Bardsley-New CB-New CB-Rose Johnson-Catts-New CM-Sess Fletcher Wickham If we can't get two new CB's, then I'd play Cuellar.
Don't know what's happened to JOS, was solid last year, this year, especially in recent games he's been piss About playing 4-4-2, we won't, but I want us to play Fletcher off of Wickham, Fletcher cannot play up front on his own, he doesn't win enough headers and he's not strong enough, Wickham, on the other hand is an ox. Fletcher is a very good footballer though, so playing him off of Wickham would work imo. Sess moving to the wing as he never really plays up front anyway, he drifts
We do seem to improve when Wickham has come on, albeit in place of Fletcher. definitely think it would be worth a punt, giving Fletcher AND Wickham some play time together, with Sess playing a deeper or wider role.
Sheasy was as solid as rock. Sadly he was past his sell by date when we got him. Like Wes injuries have caught up with him and can’t be relied on long term. All I can say is thank **** we didn’t get Gibson who could never play for more than 20 minutes’.I don’t want Dawson for the same reason.
We need a new Right Back because simply put Bardsley isnt good enough. Never was, never will be. Cant fault the lads effort but effort can only get you so far.
im hoping the scouts are looking further afield than the UK, gotta be better in Germany France Holland Italy and you get better value
