Average away following in the football league 2011/12 season - Millwall 921(23rd) - Hull City 1,316(12th).
Still 200 more than you lot brought to us 2 seasons in a row... The chant, "That is embarrassing" made me chuckle
Oh yeah, the childish morons who thought it would make them big bad hooligans if they ripped up some seats because they lost 2-0... and im pretty sure we didn't **** ourselves? I remember egging you all on and laughing at you all, because you all looked ridiculous.
There was one guy who tried to rip the seat off but didn't have the strength. He tried for a good 15 minutes before giving up. But he wasn't to be stopped, so he threw his baseball cap and somebodies (not his) shoe. Which landed about 4 feet infront of him.
I was in the ground early that game, at around 14:20, the Millwall 'mob' came bouncing into the north stand giving it cut throat gestures and hand shandies before charging at the east stand. At the time there were three stewards and no Police in the ground. The few City fans that were there in the corner at the time stood laughing at the 'mob' who did a moon walk and disapeared until the Police arrived, at which point they stood safe making threats again. One of the performers fell through the Police lines and was in a position to do what he'd been threatening for the past ten minutes behind the line of Police, but for some reason he decided to try to climb over the Policeman and seemed to prefer to be arrested (which he wasn't) rather than following through his threats. Old school Millwall must have cringed at the performance of them scruffs that day. They were far more of a laughing stock than the few on here that overplay the event.
True, but fans of other clubs prefer visiting us to others it seems : Last season Brighton bought 1,820 to Millwall and 234 to Hull, Birmingham 958 to Millwall 408 to Hull, Cardiff 1,321 to Millwall 773 to Hull, Reading 1489 to Millwall 336 to Hull, Palace 2238 to Millwall 738 to Hull, Southampton 1883 to Millwall 920 to Hull, Watford 640 to Millwall 238 to Hull
That's the most ridiculous comparison I think I've seen for a while. Obviously all the teams based in the South are going to prefer going to another southern club than spending half a day travelling. Your example clubs are: Brighton, Birmingham, Cardiff, Reading, Palace, Southampton and Watford. Let me know how many 'Boro, Huddersfield, Blackpool, Sheff Wednesday and Barnsley take.
Not only did you have to use nearly all Southern clubs to make your argument work, you also used a couple that were playing us on a Tuesday night.
