I'm going for Bradley Wiggins - just.

Without doubt the best year for British sport ever.

So close but for me its a 3 horse race between Jessica ennis, Wiggings and the mobot and i would go for Mo due to the end of that 10,000 metre race, bloody hell that was good.

I have no interest in cycling, know even less. For that I can't say I really understand/appreciate what wiggins done.

That leaves me with mo and Murray, with the former pipping the latter. Just my personal preference.

Watching it. Really dull. Wiggins was funny. Thorpe is as camp as a row of tents. Clare Balding is dressed like a Christmas cake. Might watch the darts and come back for the vote.

I don't like the Poznan as a celebration and thought it was really cringey, but very funny to see all the wound up United fans on Twitter.

My pet hate. Would someone please tell Sue Barking and Fat Baldy that Nicola Adams and Jessica Ennis do not have the letter "r" between their Christian names and surnames. Fcucking annoying.

Nicola Adams for me. Or Andy Murray.

Mo Farah can win Somali Sports Personality of the Year.

Are people watching it? I personally went for boardwalk empire and now homeland. 7:30 till 10pm is far too excessive.

Was watching it just to see Nicola Adams (seriously). Jessica Ennis is on now. Once that's over, I'll switch to something else, anything else.

I love it. It's the only programme I will bother watching over Xmas. It's cheesy yeah but it's uniquely british and this year we can celebrate winning rather than plucky losers. No arsehole footballers flashing the gold watches just real people realising their dreams.

How can anyone not get moved by the lady who lost her legs in 7/7 totally inspirational.

Can't blame anyone for wanting to see Nicola Adams. A true star.

Was SPOTY always this long, or is it a special case this year due to how successful it's been. Long gone are the days of Greg Rusedski being the best we had to offer .

Heart says Nicola Adams, head says Bradley Wiggins.

Was there ever such a line-up as this?

Boardwalk Empire is a great programme just finished watching the series finale. What a shot that Richard Harrow is! Maybe we should sign him up <whistle>

Richard harrow is the man. But they got rid of the best character in season 2. No names incase people haven't seen it.

As for the result- the majority seem to be happy. Maybe one day ill be able to look back and realise why he was the resounding favourite ahead of the rest.

If it's not in Danish I aint interested <ok>

Had the news on in the background as I took the bin out. Did I see Andy Murray being presented a trophy via videolink? How would they know he was going to get that number of votes??

If that was the case, probably by having someone from the BBC there with him and 3 replica trophies.

Just a guess, but its what they do with the premier league trophy when it goes down to the final game and two teams are vying for it.
