It happens... We didn't fold or capitulate and we created some good chances in the second half but we just got done on the break for their second. Its no disgrace at all in getting beat away to Leeds. Our big game will be next week at home to Brizzle where I fully expect us to bounce back. There are always going to be a few bumps in the road and I am certainly not concerned by this result. Onwards and Upwards next week at FPR! COYB
We won't win every game and as you say, Bristol is a more important game to get points from. Bet you're glad Norris never scored three lol!!!!
We are not gonna win every game so i think the fact that we did not bend over and let them chuck as many as they wanted past us has got to be seen a major plus..
MM said at the outset that there would be down days and yesterday was one of them, but i feel far more encouraged than i did a few weeks ago. At the end of the season when the loan players have gone and weve got rid of the shirkers and the plain useless then MM will start to put a team together, can you imagine where we would be if PJ had stayed? It doesnt bear thinking about does it. By the way oz did the turnip take your bet? No i didnt think he would.
I was really disappointed with yesterday, Leeds aren't all that and on another day, we could've taken them. We have to remember that if we had the points tally we've got now by the end of the Christmas period we would still be doing incredibly well. If we suffer another couple of bad results and the bubble bursts, it's at that point we'll really find out what we're made of. The good news is we've made it this far before the January transfer window, let's be honest, we all thought we'd be right in the mire and hope we were still in touch before Mick strengthened. The bad news is that we do have a bunch of players who underperformed under Jewell, have shown what they're capable of over the last few weeks, but undoubtedly there will be one or two who will now think they're off the hook. The good news on that is that Mick will smell it a mile off and they'll be on their bikes before they know what's hit them.
