This. I've been trying to get this very point across to the Mousers for at least the past three seasons. I was banned from their board for being a "wum" even though I am clearly not a wum, as most of my predictions actually came true (Rafa "Coco" Benitez getting the boot, the new Yank owner having no money to spend on big signings, Queen Kenny being forced to leave the club in disgrace, etc). The prediction that I made, before the season even began, in that 'Pool would face an early relegation battle, and ultimately finish the season in the lower half of the table. I also predicted that Swansea would finish above them. But the 'Pool mods, lacking any wit or ability for self-reflection, had me banned from their board, about two years ago. Incidentally, may I congratulate the OP on such a wonderfully informative, non-partisan and unbiased thread? It's great to see that 'Pool's descent from big club to mid-table obscurity can be discussed and debated in such an honest and non-wumming environment. This is very similar to my own thread, "Mouser Watch," which has been up and running over on the Spurs board for some while. Even Mousers pop in to join our unbiased debate, no doubt to get the kind of open-end and non-skewed perspective that is so dismally lacking on their own board.
I always thought this thread was to counter act the nonsense that some of the posters from Liverpool on her claim when they talk about our squad. I mean if its as dire as some would have you believe how is it that the squad picks up so many more points than Liverpools.
You forgot the referees, the FA, the media, the Freemasons and all the other subversive forces that want Utd to succeed and Liverpool to fail for no valid or coherent reason...
Ah but if you call them victims of their own conspiracy theories, you then become a WUM who is bringing Hillsborough into it.
Remember when we couldn't go a week on 606 without a LFC > United players thread. I miss those, they were hilarious. I would do one but lets be honest, no Liverpool player would come out on top.
True, but they used to like pretending they were even when they weren't. Shows how far they've fallen that they can't even whip up a deluded "our players are better than yours, so there!" thread.
I think it is finally dawning on even the thickest Mouser that 'Pool is in decline. Look at them ffs! They signed Carroll for £35m, a player who had been playing in the Championship two seasons previously. Then, they appointed Roy Rodgers as manager, a man who had been managing in the Championship two seasons previously. It's as though they are already preparing for Championship football. Not a bad thing for them, if you ask my honest opinion.
I hope they don`t get relegated. Life in the prem wouldn`t be quite the same without being able to laugh at their results most weeks.
I do! It will be great seeing them strggling for three points in the championship AND getting out the same excuses We will still get the " we played well and dominated the opposition but we hit the bar 3 times, their GK had a great game, the referee was baised against us as he was in the united payroll..."
I think we are wasting our time looking at the gap bewteen the title chasers and relegation fighters. It could be up to 50 points. They are so hopeless and totally clueless with a moron leading them.
Yet they are still only 5 points off fourth Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea are making a mockery of the term "top 4". Hope none of them get 3rd or 4th.
