I'm sure Campbell was a smokescreen anyway. Bruce will be doing some under the radar negotiations with other players. Campbell and Aluko are very similar IMO and Bruce will know that. I trust Bruce will be making the right approaches.
As far as I am concerned he can fcuk off. Give us the run round last time. 'Der der der der der der Greedy Bastard'
Bad news really if he's back scoring again, wish he'd saved it for us- had a feeling he would do. Nevermind will have to settle for whoever we get in, hope it's somebody that nobody has considered as not convinced by any of the names have seen on here or elsewhere
I'll be glad if we dont see Campbell in a City shirt again, don't get me wrong i'm grateful to him for he did for us in our promotion winning season but he's left a bitter taste in my mouth after the debacle when we wanted to buy him from Utd and I know most of it was down to his dad who is making it pretty obvious that he doesnt want FC back here
I thought he was a complete **** at the SoL, but we're far more likely to get promoted with him playing up front, so I'd be happy to see him playing for us again this season.
Can someone explain how one goal suddenly means he is back in favour at Sunderland ? McLean scored against sheff wed is he now our first choice striker ?
I dont know how many times I can say this but here goes again.....HE DIDNT. Radio Humberside reported ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE TRANSFER SAGA that he wasnt interested in coming here. They never changed their story once despite all other media outlets saying it was close to going through. This was because RH managed to speak to the lad himself off the record whereas the rest of the media just reported Brown, Duffen's and Campbell's dad's comments. Now you might well say 'fook him then, he didnt want us before so why should we have him now?' but you cannot accuse him of messing us around. On another note, this reads to me like a manager willing to sell to raise funds. With 6 months of his contract left I cannot see a single reason why Sunlan would loan him, they should sell for anything they can get. Surely a £2m bid from someone will secure a move: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20742639
I agree with Chazz and BCC. He did what was best for his him at the time. A four year contract with bigger Prem club on £35k aweek. What people have to remember is he doesn't have same affinity as us to Hull City, its just a job.
I agree with Chazz, like none of you would pass up the chance of more money each week. Also just because he scored a tap in doesn't mean he's their best striker all of a sudden. Saw someone reckoned it would put £1 million onto their asking price. Taking the piss or what!
He will still be reluctant to move anywhere until 2200 on deadline day while he negotiates as much cash as he can from wherever he can.
