4 wins out of 5, two clean sheets, an away win at Huddersfield, all since the takeover went through. And bates thinks it's not his fault we've been terrible since 10/11.
We've got a few big egos in our team but Big Mick has made it clear that if you're not going to put a shift in or do the things he wants then you'll be out. It's an approach that was needed after the nicey nicey style of Paul Jewell. Too many players were in a comfort zone but Mick has addressed that by bringing in competition for places and making the more established players start looking over their shoulder. It's been a huge change in mentality and tactics (two up front) since he came in and I'm glad we managed to land a manager of his pedigree given the position we were in when he took over. For the rest of the season can you please take points off the teams closest to us.
we lost to derby last game so its not 3 wins in a row but nevertheless 4 wins in the last 5, can't complain with that
3 home wins in a row I think he meant. In the last 3 home games we've scored 5 and conceded 1. Pretty decent. Lets keep that going, another clean sheet against Middlesbrough and who knows where we'll end up come May?
I sincerely hope bates gets thrown out on his arse. I don't know how much more of his self importance I can take. It's just tedious now, he's at it again in his programme notes going on about how he gets blamed for everything that goes wrong and gets taken for granted for every accomplishment. What accomplishment? We got promoted in spite of you, you sick, sad old man.
Ipswich came at us well and I think if they had better finishers it would have probably been a draw although saying that becchio missed the easiest header ever!!!!
best song of the day(you should have gone Christmas shopping)You had to see the look on the town fans faces when we sang that.priceless.
It'll be interesting to see who plays on both sides. So long as we don't embarass ourselves, all will be well
