Some of the movies I can hardly wait to see next year.
Wasn't there meant to be an epic fantasy type film with an all star cast released about two months ago, think denzel Washington is in it, never seems to have come out. Would help if I could remember what it was called..
Django Unchained looks good. Couldn't give a **** about the rest. Waiting to see how bad the new Robocop is.
They are saying Django is a return to form for Tarantino, don't know what they are talking about, I thought Inglorious Basterds was genius.
Strange. I had you down as loving French avant-garde cinema Dev. ps del Toro goes from the sublime (Pan's Labarynth) to the ridiculous (see above).
I like Foreign movies (Kurosawa being my favourite) and avante Garde cinema, but those can be caught up with on DVD. BIG movies should be seen on a big screen, as long as the audience shuts the **** up.
That's why I mainly go to the Filmhouse and Cameo. Rarely go the big chains because of other people rustling crisp bags and stinking the place out with hot dogs and nachos etc. That and I'm a cinema snob
Sadly true. I was so looking forward to Scott's revisit to the 'franchise' too. Bitterly disappointed. I've been told it improves on repeated viewing but canny really be bothered.
Cant see how it gets better... I didnt care about the main characters, I wanted the burd to die as soon as possible! The ending was pure ****e and the concept of these beings wanting to destroy earth after creating it was ****in pish!
Django looks good been waiting for this for ages, will probably be a major let down though.
Like the look of that, Michael Shannon (Obvious Timmy) is a tremendous actor and it looks like a great cast too. I recall reading about the guy in the press a while back, looks very interesting.
