Gradel implied he's not ready to return to England just yet in a recent interview, but he definitely wants to at some point.

I wouldn't get my hopes up. Only way this will happen is if he has a buyback clause in his contract.

I said at time of supposed takeover that Feb 1st would tell a lot. I went for option 3 but am not convinced finances will be available to sign Diouf. Will be a big setback if we cant afford to keep him for another 18 months. Fingers cautiously crossed here

Our activity in January will depend on two things; level of funds available, & whether or not Warnock gets the loanees signed up. If significant funds are available AND we get the loanees, we'll probably only look to add a striker. The January TW isn't a great time to do much business, as prices are suitably inflated.

Will be interested to see what happens, as it is very much a pointer to the rest of this season & what we might be able to look forward to in 2013/14.

Neil is sitting down with Haigh as we speak, to find out exactly what he needs to get us promoted. If GFH have the cash as they promised (Cash for players, and for purchasing ER/TA) then Warnock will tie up the loanees and give us that 'cherry on the cake' signing he promised in the summer. If we end up with Mido we're fooked <ok>

I'm not so sure they're promising ER/TA will be bought back in the near future. seems more like an aspiration to me and the icing on the cake promise was made at a time when much wealthier people were set to buy us. Hope your'e right though Doc

Great bit of business signing Diouf on 18 month contract.

Terrific. Also promising it happened within hours of Haigh arriving in Leeds. Certainly seems to signal intent. Three points tomorrow with Gradel parachuting in at half time would do nicely

You really want Diouf and Gradel in the same team?

Surely that would be a ticking timebomb

If Max comes back to England it wont be with a Championship side

We need to come up with some really cheesy patterns to go on his parachute. I think a Leeds flag with a yellow, white and blue stripe with Max's grinning face superimposed on one side, and the Leeds badge on the other side.

Not sure what you mean by that.

Max is well behaved and Diouf is making it all about the football, seems to have really listened to Warnock.

Gradel well behaved dont make me laugh. At times he acts like a spoilt brat. He did it for us and he did it for you. I think thats part of the reason why Nigel let him go

Diouf dont get me started on him. He is a sewer rat

He grew up a lot when he played for us. He was a hothead when he arrived, he was a gentleman when he left. Not my fault Nigel can't handle a player like him, Grayson did fine.

Gradel lost the plot once, on the last day of the season in League 1 v Bristol Rovers. He refused to go, when he was sent off, Beckford did well to withstrain him.

He grew up a lot after that.

He needed to after that day. He was very close to being our biggest ever villain!

I reckon that shook him up a bit as he was a different man after that day.

I think hearing 38000 angry yorkshiremen who are supposed to be your supporters shouting "off off off" at you can have a serious effect on your future behaviour. What he felt that day will not have been forgotten lightly.

I remember watching you lot on the tele at the start of last season where you got beat by I think it was Southampton. Gradel won a peno, scored it and 2 minutes latter he has another appeal for a peno turned down. He threw a tantrum on the pitch. He was still far from a mature player when he left you

The reaction by Gradel to the red card didn't bother me in the slightest, the worry was we had to play the rest of the game with 10 men. At least he showed he cared, even if his passion was perhaps over the top, i don't think it was ever going to negatively effect the remaining players.
