Not when he's in our own half surely? Maybe if he was in the final third this would work, but he doesn't get into that area much. When he's doing it near our own box surely he's just risking losing the ball in very dangerous areas?

Unless he is just too clever for his own team mates and we misunderstand him?

I don't know, I think AB has a point. The only rider I would put in is not right on the edge of the box. In our own half is fine as he does create opportunities for us to play out. But sometimes he has lost it right on the edge and ended up kicking someone. What you also have to question is the other players movement. We all want to play better football but we need the players to be braver and want the ball. Too many are hiding at present, forcing players to go longer. Only the individuals can sort that out. The manager/coaches can help but its about taking responsibility.

For Tiote there is a balance to be struck through smarter decision making. I don't want us pumping it though.

Love Tiote, we're a better team with him than without him, but no escaping the fact his play is ruthless and dangerous at times, and if he does feel the need to act as a 'Decoy' and draw the opposition to him, make it in the final third, not our own half!

    For a decent price, absolutely.

I'd be surprised, though, if any top team wants him.

Even at 12 mil you could bring in Diame AND Sissoko as direct replacements and have change to spare.

Not on the edge or just outside our penalty are though AB. He does too much of that.

Given the fact Noocarsel aren't around the top of the league this season I'm not sure they'll be any high bidding for him. Given his disciplinary record anything over £12m would be very decent for a player who hasn't been on top form for a while and gets booked most games.

By the way, someone on talksport last night wanted a midfield today of ferguson, samieobi (see what I did there) and obertan or as text predictor brought up overran (very apt!) lets hope for your sake pardew doesn't agree!!!

Sell Tiote for 12-15 million, and then buy:

Debuchy - 6mill is the normally quoted price
Douglas - free in summer (can we sign him on a deal from Jan which comes into force when his twente contract expires?)
    Sissokho - Same as Douglas
Another striker - 3-5mill - someone like Diabate would be awesome
    Squad winger - 1-2mill
    Squad CM - 1-2mill
Squad defender to replace Willo - 1-2mill

It really shouldnt take much to get the team back on track. 3-4 signings would do it.

    Defo...

My team on FM (FM12, Jan update, in 2014-5 season):

    ------------Krul-------------
    Srna--Colo---Subotic--Coentrao
    ----------Busquets-----------
    -----Cabaye----Sahin--------
    Gaitan-------------------Marin
    ---------Ibrahimovic*---------

    * world's most brilliant game fail. AC offered him to me on loan for free, they pay all his wages...?
