Which could also benefit him. Once he finally settles in a position the experience will make him a better player.
Just up to the coaching staff to put him where they see fit I guess.

Well that depends on him being better than any other player in a single position. I don't really think he is. He's going to be 2nd or (more likely) 3rd best in a few positions which will make him a good player to have on the bench, but not good enough to pin down a first-team position.

9 players with their contracts running out in the summer. Mostly periphery players and you would expect most of them to go either in January (if anyone will have them, and if we make sure we have sufficient back-ups) or the Summer. So out of those players who would you keep? Puncheon is the only one that will be offered a new contract, possibly Reeves on a 1 year. This also depends on whether we manage to stay up or not but if we do, we need upgrades.

    -Puncheon
    -Butterfield
    -Seaborne
    -Forecast
    -Dickson
    -Richardson
    -Chaplow
    -Reeves
    -Boruc

The Gills can keep him for nothing.

A one-year contract would be rightly seen as an insult to a player of Reeves' age. He will be offered at least a three-year deal if he is offered anything. Also I'd be surprised if Richardson is let go.

Only reason Richardson will be let go is if Saints are worried about him fitness wise, he seems to get a lot of injures lately. Reeves hasn't impressed me but could see him getting a new contract. So Reeves,Puncheon and maybe Richardson to be given new contracts.

Unless Reeves has no potential, he will get a new contract because he will either get into first team or we get a better price for him. It may be better for the lad to be let go if Saints don't want him...we seem to want to do the right thing by our youngsters.

The decision on Richardson will depend on his fitness. We might prefer to get a new fitter player in the summer.

Not sure Punch will stay, though him and Clyne now seem to be bessie mates.

I suppose that was just me judging by what I've seen. Give him another year to see if he can force his way into contention, but if we stay up then we will be looking to improve further and Reeves might get left behind. Nigel knows best of course and we shall see on that one.

He does seem very injury prone and he's not getting any younger. Clyne is going to be first choice RB hopefully for years to come so I suppose there's not much point bringing another top quality RB in to bench warm. If he can't stay fit however he isn't much of a back up so I'd be looking at what else is available for what we need.

i saw him playinng midfield in a pre-season friendly and he looked a class apart. Think the lad needs a loan spell with a decent footballing side to find his feett. Bournemouth are going strong with Howe back, maybe there.

Jason Puncheon has split from his agent - as far as I know he is operating without an agent now.

Dagenham-supporting mate says he thinks Reeves is a class prospect and a greatly creative player. Thinks his best position is AM.

Maybe worth sending him back to L2 again to blossom?

Ah, so Cortese knows he is ripe for the kill. He is circling the lone lamb as we speak.

Perhaps we need to warn Punch to beware of any dapper foreign gent who offers to show him some kittens.

That's the official word. The unofficial word is that Cortese has assassinated him.

Ssshhhhhh - quick mods, see to this post!!

But yeah, he split with Tony Finnegan a while back.

I remember a story of David Connolly having no agent, and just being called in by Cortese one day about a contract renewal/deal and they sorted the papers there and then and it was all done and dusted between the pair of them.

Or a case of justifiable homicide, some agents are just vermin, not all of them

You would have to think that this is probably the end of Forecast's professional football career.

Hold on I've had an idea, let me just make a phone call...."Hi, is that Guy Whittingham....I understand you need a goalkeeper......you do?......great......I've got a real gem for you"

Good time to offer him a new contract then, if FM is anything to go by!
