Next month we sign these 3 of these 5 players. These are realistic targets and are all players we have been linked with in the last few weeks, apart from Austin who is my pick. I think we should have gone for Rhodes but Austin is a cracking striker as well in that ilk.

1. Danny Rose - £6/7m
2. Michael Dawson - £5m
3. Gary Hooper - £6m/£8m
4. Charlie Austin £5/6m
5. Aiden McGeady - £6m/£7m

What do you reckon lads?<ok>

What have been the noises coming from your owner regarding transfers? I would be surprised if you splashed out anything over £10m in January as you invested a bit in the summer (not masses but I think above average for a regular prem team, i may be wrong though) and I can see wages being an issue with some of those (Dawson at a guess and is McGeady not getting a packet in Russia?). Austin is worth a punt as he's earnt the right to a step up but you never know what you're getting (for every Holt there's a Beckford).

Hooper would, I think, be a good acquisition and I'd expect him to want to come. Rose would be immense but can you see Tottenham being willing to sell him? Have they suggested they might? He looks a real talent.

Got to get Rose and, wouldn't mind Hooper seems like a very good player albeit in the SPL would do a job for us no problem. Dawson is too injury prone now and we have enough injury prone CBs as is. Austin a possible but, McGeady I wouldn't touch with a barge pole dipped in **** saw nothing in the Euros to change my mind about him. We were linked before he went to Moscow?? was it and was not too keen then.

Scott Sinclair is yet the make his mark on city. I dont think he will be available for loan as he was the replacement for Johnson.

I am hearing good things about that swedish kid at city Guidetti. but whether we would see him as a realistic loan target I do not know. might be just out of range for us

Tom Huddlestone might be available I dont know if he is in AVB plans . might be a bit injury prone though

Would hooper be available what with Celtic venturing on in Europe?

I would invest in Dawson if bramble leaves for qpr.

Do we need to buy rose now out of January's kitty?

I'd be getting Rose as soon as possible. I wouldn't risk losing him.

Cest I like the list but I'd take out Mcgeady and put in a centre mid like Sissoko.

1. Danny Rose - £6/7m
2. Michael Dawson - £5m
3. Gary Hooper - £6m/£8m - No chance CL
4. Charlie Austin £5/6m
5. Aiden McGeady - £6m/£7m - Wages problematic, seems very happy and loved

The other 3 yes but I think he'd want someone more of a guarantee than Austin. Rose seems certain, Dawson I could defo see.

Be a quality signing for any side. Doubt he'd leave West Brom without dramatic bomb in form.

If there are scoring records to get excited about its Bony and Dries Mertens. Only Holland where defending is weak but ridiculous goal records.

Sunderland are interested in taking Victor Anichebe on loan from Everton, with a view to a permanent move.

Anichebe has been sidelined since October after picking up an injury in an Everton Under 21′s game and reportedly fell out with David Moyes about squad selection the day before he was made to play in that fixture.

The Nigerian’s Everton career has never really taken off and now Martin O’Neill could offer him a lifeline on Wearside.

O’Neill’s Sunderland have struggled this season and have been misfiring in front of goal, but they have signed Steven Fletcher who has been a hit so far. However, O’Neill is thought to want a bit more strength up top and Anichebe would provide that.

Vic is set to return to action in the near future and a loan move in the new year could earn him a move away from Goodison. A lot will depend on whether David Moyes will allow him to go to another club temporarily but if Nikica Jelavic and Apostolos Vellios continue to impress in the Everton attack then Anichebe will struggle to force his way back into the team.

With Kevin Mirallas and Steven Naismith now also accupying the attacking areas, Anichebe’s future at Everton looks to be coming to an end.

Reports suggest Sunderland want the striker on loan until the end of the season before possibly signing him for between £3/4 million.

Central midfield is what we need first in January. Then if its possible tie Rose to a permanent deal. O'Neill didn't go 4-4-2 against Reading so I can't see why he'd bring a forward in tbh.

I tend to agree with you mate, no need for a forward as there is more pressing concerns like central midfield with Catts out and the Hobbits of Vaughan/Colback and Gardner looks like moving back to right back for a few months while Bardo is out so definitely on the look out for some quality in central midfield and to get good value we should be looking abroad as buying British is a waste as you do not get value for money compared to the Continent.
