Leeds loanee Alan Tate is loving every minute of his time in West Yorkshire.

The 30-year-old defender made the switch to Elland Road from Swansea last month and has become a regular fixture in Neil Warnock's side.
Tate has played a part in three victories since his arrival and Warnock has made no secret of his desire to hold on to him beyond January.
"Three wins in four games is a reasonable return so you've got to be happy with that," Tate told the club's official website.
"I think I've done pretty well so far. Even though we got beat on Saturday, I thought I did okay, and it's one of those things where I'm only going to get stronger.
"I haven't spoken to anyone about it (beyond the end of the loan). I can't say what's going to happen.
"I'm loving it at the minute though. Elland Road is a great place to play. We've had two home games and I'm looking forward to Saturday. Leeds is a great city and it's a great place to live."

What do think the clubs' valuation is ?
Experienced player, not quite PL standard but never the less a good player £5 million or am I be disrepectful

£5mill?! Bassong cost less than that and he's Premier League standard and 4 years younger! <yikes>

Stick a bow on him and send him on a free. Not to be disrespectful, but as a thank you for his service.

Yeah, I'd let him go on a free to get a hefty signing on fee for himself. I know we're not a charity, but he's served us well over the years so nothing short of what he deserves

A few hundred grand would be nice, we could buy Michu a spare leg, just in case.

Glad he's doing well but no way is he worth £5 million, imo. He's possibly worth up to £1 million but I agree with the sentiments that we could let him go cheaper so that he can earn himself a decent deal as a thank you for his tremendous service to us.

That said, we are a business, not a charity and have our own rapidly increasing expenditure to think of: so maybe something in the region of £500k could be a reasonable compromise.

I think I read somewhere that he's under contract until mid 2015,and then he has a testimonial lined up,which should nicely cloud the issue of any possible transfer/fee, etc.

Four year contract ( I Believe) when he just got injured by that rampaging tree , .I've no idea of his valuation hence the ? but as a player who can play any where across the back 5 (including the keeper) and still has a few years left then there's a few bobs worth there .

yes he does have a testimonial due, he can still be with another club while waiting for it and should stay at leeds if he is happy there. We can let him go for free as we would be saving on his wages anyway...good luck tatey ..once a jack always a jack...A legend in the highest order....

if we got 500k for him i would be happy enough, lets be realistic we are not going to see too much of him on the pitch and he needs to go. great servant of the club but its time to move on for both parties.

Agree he was a stepping block to the the promised land! Too slow for the PL! And only ever a middle table championship player! Mmm I think 500k is a bit expensive seeming Darcy went from us for 350k

Ppl may disagree but Darcy is 7 years younger and a utility player plays across the back 4 and midfield

But he only had a year left how long had Tate got left?
