I would love him to do well. Still the best player to have played for the Swans in terms of ability imo.

Have we also given him a trial? I know we shouldn't go back, but would be incredibly galling if he turns out to be fully fit and close to his best for Wigan after all the years of medical treatment and loyalty we showed.....

Norfolk, the swans were Coun ting down the days of his contract so they could wave good bye! They would never have him back in a million years!! They bent over backwards to help him and got sick of it when that help was being shat on <ok>

True but if Wigan give him a pay per game trial contract and he ends up performing well, it would be incredibly annoying is all I'm saying. (good for him, but annoying from the Swan's pov I mean)

Don't see why Bodde is the evil one though.

Agree with this. I'm torn between wishing the player well and being gutted that Wigan might benefit from his huge talent after we supported him for so long. Possibly the best player we have had in recent times and a fit, on form Bodde might well have fired us into the top six. Won't happen but nice to dream.

I think that is wide off the mark in my opinion, He could have been a good player but just because he scored some long range shots then that dont make him the best ever. He never played any games at this level and we dont know if he is up to the standard, Danny was one of the best in the championship but not very good in the premiership the same as Jase the ace. I really dont think he will make an impact and cant understand why martinez would give a player who is as injury prone as bodde a go....He is scraping the bottom of the barrel here....

Well I wish the lad well, with his recovery etc. If he does earn a contract then I hope he doesn't play against us.

What ya mean? if ferrie played against us im sure Ki will give him the hammer action!! ...<laugh>

It aint gonna happen IMO he couldnt get a contract with den haag and he was a frickin legend there !! bobby probably feels sorry for him, ferrie probably phoned him and asked for a shot, as i said den haag didnt want to know so that tells you alot.

Lets hope im wrong anyway i hate to see sportsmen having to pack in early due to injury, ive been there myself so i know(ok ok it was local league football and west wales rugby but it felt like the premier league to me!! :) )

I would definitly not have the same look on Bodde, if his fitness comes good, and he plays for Wigan, after all we did for him! feel he has taken us for a ride, I know he's been working out with ADO Den Haag, but surely we should still have been keeping an eye on him! I really don't like this one bit..................<ok>

What!!!!<laugh> Jeez the money we wasted on that lad....He should have gone a lot sooner than he did and i dont care if wigan or anyone else has him as long as its not us.....like norway says if Dann dont want him then what the hell can he do for us??? the lions share of his games for us was league one standard and a couple of games in the championship where he got his injury playing better standard players who were a match for him.....he made a couple of comebacks but was ineffective,, so how would anyone think he can step up to this standard is laughable....

Think he had great potential and showed some lovely skills on times but didn't do himself or the club any favours when he got injured. His determination to go against the clubs medical advice to be treated by top specialist Steadman in the US and instead go back to his own doctor in Holland backfired as he never really recovered from a couple of failed ops. He would often not return to the UK to be re assessed when asked yet was being paid the whole time he was out, the club had bent over backwards to help him but in the end were glad to see his contract expire because he wouldn't help himself.

He jerked us off over a move to Derby. We should have sold him.

He was important for us under Martinez but he's gone and we have better now.
Even think that Dai is right; he is untried at this level but did well in L1. Christ on a bike even Tatey looks the business playing for Leeds in the Championship.

..and dont forget he aint played for 3,5 years !! almost unheard of in professional sport to return after that time out, let alone in an even higher division.
