Honestly I really cant take anymore of this!!!!!! he is our worst player this season yet Parde persists with him week in week out - he needs to be dropped so he bucks his ideas up. :emoticon-0112-wonde

It's not a question of effort - he just really isn't good enough now. He has never offered goals or assists really, and hard graft has been his only asset for some time. Now it isn't enough.

Does anybody think we'd find a buyer for Jonas with his wages?

I agree, but there is more players than jonas who need to take a long look at themselves, Willo the donkey for e.g. total waste of space

Willo and Jonas are liabilities, and Tiote is not far ahead of them. We seriously need to spend in January or we're fu*ked.

we need a manager that can read the game and make the right changes - if any are required.

    I want Pardew out!!!

He is hopeless at any game we dont play in and steam roll the other team

We should've played Marv instead of Jonas tonight.

Against Man City, we may well need Jonas to help Santon out.

Unless we go for all out attack, does anybody know if Kompany is out for the game? :)

Jonas is a wide player, always has been.

He's being played out of position and been forced into playing in a defensive manner.

Sure, he's in poor form as are most of the players just now. Marveaux in his place? <laugh>

No chance. He is about as useful at defending as Ben Arfa!

Ferguson could be a decent option but then again, we don't see the players in training so it's impossible for us to make an informed judgement.

Still, relevant information never stopped any of you from forming your opinons on here did it? <whistle>

I would be surprised if Kompany starts, it was an old injury that affected him on Sunday, he thought he was fit to play but wasn't, it would make sense to rest him rather than risk aggravating it further!

The season we went down we had Butt and Geremi crawling about the pitch running back towards their own goal trying desperately to catch up with an opposing midfielder. That meant more frequent pressure on our defence, law of averages would say the more often you get attacked the more often you'll concede. A similar thing seems to be happening now with Jonas. Him allowing someone goalside is killing Willo and Colo as they probably don't know whether to stick with their man or go to the player running at them. They are being made to look worse than they are. Jonas should be dropped simply so we can put someone in with more energy and pace so opposing players aren't allowed to run alone with the ball so often.

Marv would've still provided something more than nothing. IMO.

He did well when doing a defensive cover role last year but the rest of his game is diabolical and always has been. The only reason he got a place on the XI was because of his work rate. Now he can't do that he's even worse than he already was.

Credit where credit is due, he gave everything to us but his time is done but of course a bit part role is still there, like Shola.

Willo worst player for me but Jonas isn't far behind. While I have sympathy as he has been shifted around, we can't carry him. The problem we have is while Ferguson is decent, he has shown this season he is not ready to play every week. Marveaux has been hugely inconsistent too. However I simply think its a case with Jonas of playing a central midfielder in his place. We are short there too with Cabaye out, Bigi not ready, Vuckic neither ready and injured. In the short term I think we have to risk Marveaux, hope for the best and pray he starts to get some consistency in his play.
