To be fair I think Pardew is better than Martinez and Di Matteo.

I don't get the Martinez hype. He's got a win ratio of about 5%! **** team, or not **** team. Wigan don't progress.

I think you need to stick with him.

and how do you know he didn't have medical advice to pull Ben Arfa off? (ooh matron!). I'm sure peeps would have been spitting even more bile if HBA had aggravated his injury due to over exertion...

Asserting that Pardew has not performed, and therefore must go is a dangerous road to go down. Cast your mind back to 2004 and people were saying the same about sir Bobby. Fat Freddie did get rid of him, only to find, whoops, that he had no replacement. SO we got Souness, and we all know how that turned out.

I would have liked Jol at the club after Hughton got sacked but he hardly seems to be doing any better this season, and his budget is comparable. Poyet is largely unproven, he could work out great, but he could be more clueless the AP. RDM I would like to see, ditto Martinez, but I would be surprised if either wanted to come to NUFC.

He likes to play with a 3 man defense, and I'd support ANY scenario where Williamson doesn't play

His team plays some of the best football in the league and the lowest budget...this season they lost Moses & Rodallega, the season before N'Zogbia, before that Valencia & Palacios and yet he keeps them in the league.

When they were struggling last year he had the imagination to changed tactics to 3-6-1 and Arsenal, Man Utd, Us & Chelsea all fell victim to it and couldn't cope with them.

One of the best managers around in my opinion.

No I wanted Fat Sam gone and then we got keegan and he left and you know the rest of that unpleasant story. We need to learn to be more patient everyone wants to pull the trigger on the manager and for some reason the players are always blameless. Lets see what January brings and I say that with outgoings in mind to.

Each to their own I guess.

I stand by my point that getting him would be a step down from Pardew though.

Again you've failed to give any example of what Pardew has done well this season, you've simply listed a few manager's that in your opinion won't join us.

Why should he keep his job (based on this season)? If the main reason is because no one else is out there then Pardew really doesn't have a leg to stand on in my opinion.

People forget that Keegan's first 10 games in his second spell were without a win, then he got it sorted and the team started playing well. And may have continued if it weren't for Wise...

When Pardew was at west ham, he had a fairly decent season by their standards in the premier league, got them to a cup final, finished 9th and talk of him as a future England manager, the following season he took them on their worst run of defeats in 70 years and was sacked,

This for me sums up Pardew as a manager, he can look to be a decent manager based on one good season, but then when faced with the task of matching, or progressing his lack of ability becomes apparent and i'm not sure what Pardew supporters are hoping, or expecting from the guy, but you will be disappointed.

saying that the same could be said with Pardew now then I just feel teams have found us out now the whole "this same team finished 5th" what's gone wrong is exactly why I feel we aren't as effective if we had bought in the summer I really feel we could have kicked on and I think the lesson has hopefully been learnt and with more months of scouting targets hopefully we will turn the corner but its looking grim right now with our xmas fixtures

Because it's half a season? I've never rated Pardew that highly, but I think we should be giving him more time after what he achieved last season. See Moyes, Ferguson etc...

I think he has done his best under some very trying circumstances i.e. a thin squad stretched by injuries and European Thursdays, with tiny spend over the summer. Last year, that worked, this year it hasn't. I think his juggling act is to be applauded even if it obviously doesn't impress you.

If he can cross, we'll swap him with Gosling, Never injured and when he was with your friends at goodison he was tipped to be the next England star! Weve seen nothing that suggests otherwise! Bit like Downing really :D

Sacking pardew now, absolutely pointless. Another manager won't wave a magic wand and fix what's broken. Hard graft will fix it. I don't agree with a lot of pardew's formations and tactics at times but he is stuck with what he has got which is he same team as last season minus a few injuries. Confidence and form of certain players is hurting us but that will turn. No point in sacking him for me.

Yeah, strange how things go. I've heard of Gosling but don't know much of him.

Downing is still plugging away, even though we're playing him out of place, the manager has publically criticised him, and the fans clearly don't like him.

Can't be easy to work in that environment.

Big fish in a small pond he's okay. Under huge pressure he's not up to it.

    Would you trade?
